Also to play the odd game here and there. Yates played substantially better alongside Watson. I thought Yates looked lost when Ben wasn’t alongside him. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Kylos247 - 14-07-2019 We need leaders in our team and Watson is that, we then only have dawson and robbo. I'm glad hes staying, great example for the younger generation. He's not up to playing many games for any top 6 side, but as someone to bring in on the odd occasion to help cement the team & provide an experienced influence he's ideal. Also, we've been playing a 4-1-4-1 which requires far less forward movement from the defensive 1 too. In that role & setup Watson's weaknesses aren't as exposed. The young lads from abroad and the young academy lads in and around the first team squad need the likes of Watson around them. It's not just about what Watson does or doesn't do on the pitch. This ^ We need to have some experience and know how around the squad. We shouldn't underestimate the importance of that. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 06-08-2019 This summer clearout is not going to plan is it so far. Just over 2 days of the window left and we are still lumbered with: Costel Pantilimon Luke Steele Jordan Smith Michael Hefele Claudio Yacob Liam Bridcutt Adlène Guédioura Gboly Ariyibi Zach Clough Daryl Murphy Jason Cummings RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Widdow - 06-08-2019 Not been the best window for outgoings (or stellar incomings) but luckily still Europe, league one and two and Scotland still have the rest of August to do transfer deals so let’s hope they take some of our deadwood RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Madforit - 06-08-2019 (06-08-2019, 01:35 PM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: This summer clearout is not going to plan is it so far. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - Paplane - 06-08-2019 Yacob looks quality to me when he plays but both AK and MoN didnt seem to rate him. Maybe he just doesnt put the effort in in training. RE: The 2019 Summer Clearout - ozzyten10 - 06-08-2019 Mendy is a 1 in 4 striker. |
