With the number of ‘flair’ players coming in we are going to need to balance the team with 1 or 2 players to do the donkey work - Ben will run & run.

PS that is meant as a compliment to the lad.

I don't think any of us will know which team is running out each match. Or what formation. The players we bought are far to fluid to have a set formation. Going to drive other teams mad.
We are going for promotion without question.

I think we've got to accept that these young lads, regardless of their talent, might need time to acclimatise, bed in and look the players we hope they are.

Wouldn't surprise me if a few are benched early on with the likes of Cash and BenO starting the early games.

I sincerely hope that the new foreign players bed in quickly, it is bound to feel strange playing in another country with its language and culture being alien to them.
Then there will be the (possibly) different style of play, and the possibility of home sickness affecting one or two of them.
Offsetting al that, is the fact that they will not be alone, and there are already compatriots at the club.
We need to be patient, and understand that there will an adjustment period as Pap says..

I can hardly see us playing 442 at all honestly.

Maybe i'm just dreaming but i can see AK playing a 4-3-3 with only one holding midfield player say Watson/Geddy and then Cash/Bridcutt as the box to box player and Joao Carvalho/Osbourn as the creative player of the 3. Power, pace and strength.

There you go 2 players for each position in the midfield. Means that if we get a DMC enforcer it's a bonus but we can make the other signings a priority.

Front three pick from
Joe Lolley
Diogo Goncalves
Ben Brereton
Gil Dias
Soudani

When you look at the team like that i think you can say AK aim for the team is to win it but would take top 6

The possibilities are almost endless with the quality of the players he has bought in and those still to come.
I m betting on a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-4-1-1
Realistically both the same :)
