I agree Malta, hopefully it won't to come that and as far as I am aware I don't think that there are any plans in place to rename the City Ground.

Let's just get that Main Stand sorted and just leave the rest alone.

If they could attract decent sponsorship & call it something like the ‘BetBright City Ground’ I wouldn’t have any issues...

Really? You think that there is nothing wrong with `prostituting` our grounds name?!!! ...it will end up changing every couple of years...nah ...nt for me , i think there are better income avenues...if they want the owners (and here I am not implying that they are considering to hange the grounds name eh), they should build a new ground and name it whatever they want...but that patch of grass on the banks of the Trent should remain The City Ground.... they can rename the Bridgeford end stand if the wish..

Opinions eh!
Sorry but just delaying the inevitable - don’t have an issue as long as ‘City Ground’ remains...

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Strawberry Avenger - 18-06-2018

'The Heinz Beans Ground,' 'The Wotsits and Monster Munch City Ground,' 'The Pay Day 1500% Loan City Ground...' trying to sing any of those to the tune of Mull 'kin Tyre...would be painful.

'The City Ground.'

Not saying nothing is happening with the Main Stand, but I know people who live right next to the main stand (and house backs on to the car park) and they have not received any information whatsoever at this time about any impending work to be done on main stand "THAT could" affect them.

Let any sponsor give us the dough to add their name to the City Ground - would not change what we call it in any way...

Yeah, it will still be the City Ground to Forest fans.  It has a legendary status and place by the Trent.

Great atmosphere to the haunting chimes of Mull...

(Be interesting if further revenue is generated by 'stadium' naming rights by the new owners.  It's an option in their arsenal of improving revenue turnover.)

I don't think they will do that.

There is such a feel good factor around, why spoil it?  They know that most fans would be against the idea.

Well the good news is the old Boots island site is submitting plans for redevelopment and to my knowledge, there is no mention of a gigantic great football stadium being built on it!

This site had been previously identified (on a number of occasions) as the perfect location for Forest to relocate to.

It just keeps getting better and better!!!

Depends on your point of view...

RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - JC21 - 02-07-2018

If we do eventually move away from the CG I think Boots Island would have made a great location
