RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 03-11-2020 EM will give it as long as it takes. He' s no quiter. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 12-11-2020 Owner Evangelos Marinakis has been praised for the support Nottingham Forest have shown to a local charity during his time in charge. The Reds are backing Framework’s Homeless to Home challenge, a campaign initiated by the Nottingham-based charity to help tackle homelessness in the city and beyond. Since Marinakis took over Forest in 2017, the Greek has encouraged the club to help out in the local community - with the latest initiative another example of that. Head of fundraising Claire Eden said “We are most grateful to Nottingham Forest, who have signed up to the challenge. “Since their owner Evangelos Marinakis arrived at the club, we have had tremendous support and there is a real desire to make a difference throughout the city. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 13-11-2020 Interesting that nobody responded to the post above. Is it because it was something positive being said about our owners? Plenty of responces when something negative is said. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ThePromisedLand - 13-11-2020 Old news Sniff. No more no less. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-11-2020 Apologies User, will try to give you a more constructive reply tomorrow, suffice to say 3 thoughts. 1. Agree with most of that 2. Colback plays with himself. Does that make him a wanker? 3. You didnt write all of that after the final whistle did you? RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Username - 24-11-2020 Within!? Not with!!! I started typing it as we conceded the penalty. In reality I’ve been feeling / posting most of the above since mid window. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-11-2020 A couple of additional points. Does EM gamble in January when realistically we are nowhere near promotion? Probably not. More likely he will look to cash in and sell what he can. In addition our bloated and expensive squad was assembled to get us out of this league. Next year we will still be in it or worse but paying for all those players who we know arent up to it with a lot of them the wrong side of 30 and very difficult to move on. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Username - 24-11-2020 Completely agree. I just wonder what EM’s view is. I suspect he is angry but that would be misplaced to aim that ire at Mr Hughton or the players (with they odd exception). RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-11-2020 (24-11-2020, 11:14 PM)Username Wrote: Completely agree. So maybe he should look at those who took the decision to bring in those 14 players? Or is it easier just to blame it all on Sabri? RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Plymouth red - 24-11-2020 (24-11-2020, 11:07 PM)Username Wrote: Within!? Not with!!! I am starting to agree. I admit I felt that we had signed good quality over the summer and had strength in depth but now I have to question this. I feel one problem. Is that a lot of the players we signed with high expectation have been very poor. I see two possible causes but both stem to a common theme. Most were delighted when we signed colback and Freeman but in both cases, neither had played much football since May 2019. In that time both appear to have lost something - either confidence or fitness. Likewise, Arter and Knockaert - both according to fans who saw them last season were poor and out of sorts. Certainly not the players they were 2 or 3 seasons ago. So immediately four of our key signings are either out of shape or out of form - going back over a year. Then you have the unknowns - it is always a lot to ask players unuse to the league to make an immediate impact but few have had the chance - you wonder why we signed them? Then you remove our two most influential players in cash and Watson, plus both Lolley and Grabban have been woefully out of form, Worrall injured and what are you left with. I think that’s ultimately the point I was making. Sabri is a different discussion and I’ve avoided that as the conversation will digress on to other valid issues outside of the Thread. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Alf - 24-11-2020 Agree with a lot of that. But regards this.. "the prospect of us finishing top six is unlikely and the chance of meeting the big man’s sole remit of promotion will not be achieved, again." It's virtually impossible as it is. Before tonight's defeat it required 2ppg, which is auto form. We can't even find mid-table form. |
