Another thing I could not help but notice was a stat mentioned after the game; Grabban was in possession of the ball for a grand total of 12 times during the game.

During those 12 times he missed a chance, set up Silva for his goal (that must have been one of the best one, two's of this or any other season) and then set up Semedo for a chance he should have scored from.

And yet such a fantastic return from so little possession gets no attention from some of our so called resident experts; I suppose that's what happens when you do not sign for Brentford!

Grabban is the best striker we have had at this Club this Century, and probably since PVH.

I think you’ll find the number mentioned was 23 ( not 12 ).

Was it?

apologies!

The fact remains it was an unbelievable contribution from a fantastic player

Would be nice if he stopped missing sitters though  :P

He's always missed sitters. The chances where he has time to think are his least profitable. IMO, that's why he's not particularly skilled at taking penalties.

He would be a top premier league player if he didn't have such a flaw.

He'll no doubt go on another scoring run. The timing could be absolutely perfect.

I agree, played superb last night

If Grabban starts another run of goals, Semedo can get his early season form back and Carvalho finally steps up then we could take some stopping. There were some very good signs last night at Cardiff.

I hear what you're saying.  They've definitely got it in their lock.  No question about that.

I'd love to see Grabban get 18 and over goals.  He's been a gem this season.  Finally working for the team.  It's like he's beginning to believe it.

Let's hope the planets are in alignment.

SA.

Grabban's build up play and cross for Silva. :OO

Grabban's Build up play and cross/pass for Semedo?  Stunning.  :OOO

Silva, last night.  He's looking very....very at home in 'that role.'  Some great running and positional work.  One where he chased down the ball he had no right to get to.

I actually thought he was better suited first half qpr, hes a very good signing. I watched him pre season and thought this guy has real quality. Took his goal well last night pleased hes scored, confidence booster for the lad.

Win lose or draw our season was never going to be decided last night and win lose or draw at Sheffield Wednesday it won't be decided then either. Still all to play for.

It's a funny old game Football. After Sheffield Wednesday mullered us at the CG we went on a really good run straight after. Wednesday however have been on a dreadful run since they mullered us.

Lots of twists and turns still to come.

I'll start to believe we can go up the day we produce goals and performances like Brentford today. They're 4 nil up after 75 minutes against a side that beat us by the same score at our place. We don't look remotely capable of scoring more than 2 unless the opposition is useless. I may be old fashioned but every time we start at home with one striker I'm completely baffled and very pissed off.
