Was gutted when we signed him, old error prone Chelsea and Newcastle reject right! How wrong could I have been?
From his debut at Oxford (and THAT save from Jemo), to his one man attempt to stop us getting hammered at Chelsea, he was simply brilliant. In terms of performances, was best keeper we've had since Shilton. He was that good for us. Thought he must have swum in that swimming pool in the film cocoon.

Remember we were already out of the stand and on touchline a couple of minutes from end. Someone next to us took the ball out of Warren Bartons hands as he brought it back to take a throw. Ended up taking it from on the pitch. Daft, but hilarious at the time. Probably the fastest I have ever made it over a pitch too.

Any particular reason Boatsy? I remember it being good fun but a 2-2 draw. Not sure it makes my own top 10 or 15 in terms of away days, though was a top 5 pitch invasion..For the record, my top 5:.1. Peterborough (After Stans winner). 2. Peterborough at final whistle. 3. Last home game vs Newcastle in mid 80s. 4. Ipswich away Cloughies last game. 5. This one. Wasn't at Cov in 78, but many rate that as best.

Despite wearing 9, he more or less played a number 10 role before it existed in this Country. I remember Platini playing it for France in 84 Euros. Despite his goals, I always think first and foremost of his unbelievable vision and ability to unlock a defence. Very brave too.
