RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Username - 24-11-2020

I wouldn’t say Impossible, more improbable, but still achievable as seasons are often defined by runs, some teams finish top six but can go two months without winning.

You only have to look at our capitulation last season to see how rapidly things can change.

Do you think he will be angry at himself?

He doesn’t strike me as the introspective type.

He has paid people to do a job and someone is failing.

Does he know this?

Will he rectify it?

Looking for someone to blame but that does read really badly. Really losing interest and can’t see where the next points are coming from - we are total crap

I’m more concerned with the here and now

Mee too. All this shite comes out immediately after a defeat. We lost a game of football, thats all.

Against a very good side

Isn’t that why we’re here?
To try & win the odd game.
It’s getting easier to criticise when the performances are so poor week in week out.

That's the point though. Apart from last night I think the performances have been improving generally under CH. Last night felt like it was a step backward and it feels bad more so after the Barnsley defeat, but there was some good stuff played in the Barnsley game. We shouldn't be forgetting that. In fact the Barnsley performance was up there as one of the best I've seen since the turn of the year.

All this talk about how useless the owners are is directly related to the two defeats. This thread is never resurrected after a win.

Some need to read back through the summer transfer thread, most were lauding the signings we made and the owners for signing them. It's the players and managers who need to take a good look at themselves not the owners. The owners gave us what we were all begging for in terms of mainly British players with a good pedigree and Championship experience and a British/Irish manager with experience of getting teams promoted from our league.

And all this shit about Vrentzos, what has that got to do with the way the players and manager are performing once they step onto the pitch.

Wouldn't blame EM for selling up to a bunch of Chinese and f*****g off.

We don't deserve him.

I accept that my timing is poor but that was when I was feeling at my most emotive, however it isn’t an opinion that I’ve just stumbled upon and have been making these points for months. It’s just the first time I’ve brought them together as one.

If you think the personnel we’ve brought in are good enough then fine, I think you’re more intelligent and insightful than that having read pretty much every post you make on here.

I would also hope that you can see that I’ve taken the time to set out my reasoning.

Most were, not all.

I don’t blame most of the players, a lot of them are playing to their maximum potential with the odd exception. That’s actually a fundamental part of the point I’m making if you care to read what I’ve posted rather than see it as some half cocked crack at EM.

You’ve talked about generic issues and largely ignored the points I’ve made.

In fact I am concerned as to the impact that another season of failure would have on EM’s position. I have questioned that specific point above.

That final point is utterly disingenuous Paplane, I genuinely wouldn’t have wasted my time posting it if I didn’t believe it were not true.

I haven’t done it previously because I felt it too soon to comment, I wanted to see the personnel on the pitch as individuals and as a team despite my reservations voiced in the Summer window.

I believe we are about to go on a terrible run of results that will rock the squad and management team to the core and rather than being a vulture picking at the bits in six weeks time I felt now was a better time to have that conversation whilst people can still discuss it in a balanced manner, barring the obvious exception
