RE: Transfers In/Out Summer 2020 - McDurban - 02-06-2020

This could be the best time to earn promotion.
The TV deal guarantees the income while transfer costs drop.

I must say IF we do get promoted it will be bitter-sweet.
It will be a real shame that we the fans will be excluded. We won't be able to watch the games, go to playoffs, celebrate together.
Then there is no guarantee next season will start with fans in the ground.
Like all of us, I've missed going to City Ground, and missed football. I'm not sure games behind closed doors is going to fix it.

I will take that if it means promotion. Imagine a return to normality and the next time fans are allowed we are in the PL.

I have that preseason optimistic feeling that every year tells me we have a better chance than most for promotion.
Realism usually kicks in around the end of September as it becomes apparent we really don't & by December the optimism is smashed yet again.
The fact that there are only 9 games to play fills me full of hope that there won't be time for it to all turn to shit.
Maybe this is the year.
Come on you reds!!!!!!!!!!

Well said WrexhamRed. That's it in a nutshell.

So who do we think are the hottest candidates to catch Forest and squeeze us out of a top 6 spot? One Sky "expert" predicted that both Blackburn and Bristol would overtake Forest.

In my opinion if anyone overtakes us it will be Millwall.

Ask again after everyone's played and we know who is available/fit etc. Clubs seem to be keeping their cards close to their chest on all fronts currently

See your point but it will be very difficult to predict either way as there is bound to be a lot of injuries and players out of form with the long break and then the insane busy schedule. So who you have available on the opening day is one thing but who you have available after 3, 4 or 5 games could be even more important. Interesting times ahead that's for sure.

Millwall don’t have to play anyone in the top 9. On paper they have the easiest fixtures to play ?

It's in our hands. If we win our games then nobody can overtake us. Massive games coming up against Bristol City, Fulham and Preston.

Interesting that WBA dropped points yesterday and Leeds have a tough game at Cardiff which if they lose or draw will make things even more exciting.
