I'm not sure how it's possible to move forward without bringing his arm down and round. He can't be expected to put it behind his back and turn and run forward.

Great point.

The problem is we can't defend like that against teams in the bottom half.

not only that i think the movement came from Anderson behind him- it pushed his arm forward

Also Anderson was right behind him so was pushed forward slightly due to the momentum

There was a shove from the Arsenal player too and the ball goes out of play anyway

Still wondering how Timber didn’t get a second yellow for blatently pulling Anderson back and making no attempt to win the ball.

Great result that.

Nice to see Anderson perform at the level expected.

Some cracking saves from Sels too.

Good performance taking tonight in isolation, albeit again we don’t have anything going forward. I was hopeful for tonight if we could avoid conceding from set pieces partly because I’ve been bored to death by Arsenal’s football too many times, but importantly our players have had a break from the tough fixture schedule.

This will be important going forward. We start February with Palace, Leeds and Wolves. With the European schedule can we keep our players fresh?

Anderson my MOTM. We all know he was overplayed until his level dropped. Now he’s had a short break it’s important to keep him fresh. We MUST rotate the squad.

Definitely. The diving from Saka and Merino was horrible to watch too. They’ll probably win the league, but the football they play is awful. I couldn’t watch that every week

Very pleased with the performance today.

It was like stepping back to last season.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Arsenal - The reds - 17-01-2026

This is the minimum every game. We need some bodies in ideally this week.

Agreed. Sels back on form and the backline were confident and composed. Just needed Woody up top really!
