We are not looking to move away. That’s what I have been told. It was apparently discussed but there is an understanding of the importance of the current ground, it’s name and location. Apparently, other avenues are being looked in to to increase revenue.

The best way and possibly the quickest and easiest way to increase revenue is to be successful on the pitch.
A return to the Premier League will generate more revenue than any other means possible.
Hopefully, a return to the PL, a new Main Stand with an increase in capacity and Bob's your uncle.

It increases revenue, Duncan, but it also increases outgoings. We still need to look at other avenues of income.

It increases the value of the club by 200m and therefore allows infrastructure growth to be achieved much more easily imagine putting a 200k extension on an 100k house or a 200k extension on a 2m house.
An EPL franchise and that's what effectively it is these days brings in wider revenues and oils wheels planning wise and local government assistance wise, if the club wants to make the leap infrastructure wise promotion is the be all and end all

Either way, we have people in charge who know what they are doing. They want the club to be successful and know how to achieve it.

It's enough in the division we are in now but would it be enough if we get promoted?
We have sold 20,000 season cards this season in the championship.
That figure would easily rise to 25,000 in the PL, then you have the away fans to add into the equation.
How would 30,000 be enough?
Times have changed, things have changed, it's not the 1990's any more.

I was thinking about that kind of figure. 35k minimum but pushing for 40k capacity.
Depends on how far they can push the Taylor Mainstand redevelopment? Which would get Forest to 35k?There's also the corners to fill in for 500 -1000 seats for each corner? 37k to 40k?
If Forest can do 20k season tickets before a ball is kicked off in the Championship 25k in the Premier seems very doable. 5k away for some teams like you say and Forest's 30k capacity isn't enough for new Forest fans (note the cheaper price for younger fans or the great deals to encourage parents to bring children...are strategies for growing the fan base short, medium and long term) or those that don't buy season tickets. Suddenly even 35k is looking a bit snug.
Depends on how far they can push the redevelopment options.

That sound exciting. The day, 'one day' that even maybe '40k' might not be enough.
Under the current leadership, I don't doubt the quiet ambition. (I can almost hear the 'big wheels' turning.) That one day, anything might be possible being run in such a professional way. It's just the way things are 'happening'. Players. Paint job for the City Ground. Top brass manager. Ambitious players. Record signings. New technical area... Bridging the 1st team with Academy training eg. in Spain. Lots to like.
9 players. BOOM! More to come...? I'm sure success on the pitch will lead to infrastructure success. I have no doubt, regardless that the new leadership are looking at ways to increase revenue beyond the obvious (Premier Promotion...) but that Premier football gives the greatest revenue windfall. That in itself opens other revenue possibilities, I'm sure. ...And that promotion puts Forest firmly on the map to sway infrastructure planning and plans in their favour. But with infrastructure improvements, Forest can improve other revenue avenues.
We just need to get promoted.
