Paddy Greenwood?
Barry Butlin?
John Cottam?

Ricko & Lyall were decent.

Bowyer & O’Neill just needed polishing.

Robbo didn't even make the starting 11!

Brian's 1st season and Forest finished in what place..?  Bottom 6?  8?  Low-ish position.

He had the gift of time and a certain Peter Taylor to arrive.

But they beat Spurs in the Cup with a mixed and fledgling Clough side.  I didn't know that.

SA.

Forest finished the first season (74-75) under Cloughie in 16th position, which would've been 6th from bottom, as there were only 22 sides in the league at that time.

Thanks.

And the following season 8th? (Did Taylor join Clough for the 2nd season ..?)

Then the 3rd season 3rd? Promoted. Clearly the Clough Taylor dynamo in full swing.

RE: Nottingham Forest Archive - Salvatore Matrecano - 16-01-2021

A memorable day at the lane spanking the neighbours. A Forest team full of young stars, Sheringham and Keane on the scoresheet. Look at the pace we break at compared with today. Remember watching from the home end trying to keep a low profile and when we scored realised I was surrounded by fellow Forest fans.

Wasn't there about 28,000 attendance and 18,000 or so were Reds fans?

I do remember their wooden scoreboard got pelted with absolutely everything  :D

The movement and first time passing is a sight to behold... if only we could replicate this...

Six years ago today 17/1/2015. Benny Osborn scored a last minute screamer against Derby to give the Super Reds all 3 points at the Flat Pack Arena.

One of a few high points in the last 20 odd years. It was a special moment. Apparently at 1-0 up the Derby players were asking Derby fan Ben Osborn if he was coming out with them that night to celebrate the win.
