Think Dean Ashton said ‘Don’t think many teams would fancy Sabri’s Forest Over a 2 leg play off’

Come on Sabri- lets have ‘em!

That is true. The other teams in the play offs will be looking at us and thinking we don't want Forest.

We have a really good chance this season. It could be our year...

we could of been 11 points instead of 7 points clear of 7th

though, i think finishing 5th or 6th helps us as we play at home first and generally perform better away .. if we are defending a slender lead from the first leg ... the 2nd leg away is perfectly set up for our optimised game plan

i must be bonkers thinking that the 2 recent draws is better than 2 wins

Fulham for example spent over 100m 2 years ago and managed to keep hold of most people f their better players and add to them with knockeart caballero etc. I look at stoke too - millions spent on decent players on paper.

We’ve got a great mix of homegrown, shrewd signings and frees, foreign market etc...

Playoffs is manager of the year stuff from Lamouchi

Good post Ozzy. For Lamouchi to have had us in touching distance of the top two recently with just a handful of games remaining is a remarkable achievement.

Letrs hope he can get us over the line...

Looking at the remaining fixture I wonder if the game vs Swansea on 15th is our most important of the season so far. Win that we are home and dry in the top 6. Lose its squeaky bum time.

4 games to go and realistically you're looking at Swansea, Cardiff, Preston & Derby who could dislodge us from the top 6. And even then for that to happen we'd have to lose the next couple of games. But look at the fixtures for the next week:

This weekend:
Fulham v Cardiff
Derby v Brentford
Swansea v Leeds
Preston v Forest

Midweek following:
Forest v Swansea
Cardiff v Sheep
Brentford v Preston

I think we probably just need 1 more win and a couple of draws on the basis that no other club is likely to go on a 4 game winning streak.

I think a win on saturday gives us the play off spot and then we can look to get match fitness into the squad and rest a few so we are in a good place and ready to fully go for promotion.

Didn't Billy rest players a few years ago to no avail? With 5 subs available I'd just continue to rotate and give the players two thirds of a game. Maybe just Lolley needs leaving out completely as he's clearly playing injured.

He did and we lost all momentum. At the moment we don't seem to have too much momentum so it might not be the same result if we go down that route again.

I’m not sure Brice Samba is entirely fit either.

I think some of the subs need some form and confidence, they can make a big difference in playoff matches, the likes of Diakarby, Da Costa, Carvalho, Mighten, Johnson and Walker need a goal.

Bit different this time as we've never had this many games without breaks in between. Simply gave to rotate, to avoid injuries, to allow players rest and probably improve overall performances anyway if our first left is too tired. Although our bench isn't known for stepping up when required.

I think two draws vs Swansea and Preston and we'd have enough points probably based on other fixtures. I'd hope we get more obviously, ideally just win on Saturday
