RE: Current Players Thread - Salvatore Matrecano - 13-03-2024

I think Reyna was always an insurance policy should, heaven forbid, MGW get injured and as good a freebie/loan option as we could get given our financial circumstances.

Does look like he isn’t impressing Nuno in training though seeing as he isn’t making the matchday squad anymore.

Reyna could have given us a bit of the unknown - no opportunity really to evaluate.

Picked up an injury
Nuno was pro the signing of Reina

Yes that is right.

Personally if Reina is fit now I would start him ahead of MGW who in my book has been poor recently.

Wow Sniff, that'd be a crazy move. Are you on the booze mate?

If it wasnt for poor finishing MGW would of had 3 assists against Brighton. He created all of our opportunities Sniff.

For the most important game in god knows when, you cant be dropping the best player for an unproven kid who has just one single prem start to his name. It's bloody crazy talk. Sniff's eventually lost it.

RE: Current Players Thread - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 15-03-2024

I am sticking to what I said. Reina may only have one PL appearance to his name but he has appearances in competitions that MGW can only dream of playing in.

MGW set piece deliveries are shocking and his goal per game ratio is poor as is his assists per game ratio. Too much show boating too and loses possession far too easily at times.

Don't get me wrong he is a very good player and I hope he stays around for years but he is not undroppable.

In terms of the set piece deliveries I agree we need a bit more variance as to who takes them but in fairness to MGW he has chipped in with a few goals too.

Not sure about that logic Sniffer. He must have some ability to play for Dortmund but he has clearly been struggling recently. Just because someone has played at a high level doesn’t mean they are a fantastic player. Ody has far far more top level games than the rest of our many goalkeepers combined yet finds himself 3rd pick. If you want to extrapolate to the ultimate degree, Carl Jenkinson had an England cap.

MGW isn’t undroppable but our entire team is making basic mistakes. At least he tries.

RE: Current Players Thread - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 15-03-2024

Yes I understand all that SM and I am not expecting many or any to agree with me but I am sticking to my guns and I can assure you that I am 100% alcohol and substance free!

He is for this game you nutter.
