RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Strawberry Avenger - 07-01-2021 Could have had the stand built by now...? Shame it's tied to the flats. Guess it adds £££ to help pay for the stand. I look at Brentford. They have a new ground. Sound scouting. Canny transfer poloicy and football philosophy. What have Forest been doing in the same amount of time as Brentford...? But our Academy rocks. All the more reason to give Hughton time. Whist we get Forest sorted. I like our owners and the work at Olympiacos augers well for our future. You have to hand it to teams like Brentford who stuck with it. Norwich who stuck with Farker. Swansea who took a tightly targeted approach to their transfer business. We'll get there. But we need to be patient and stick with things. SA. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 07-01-2021 The deadline for deciding whether the transformation of Nottingham Forest’s City Ground – including a 19- and 10-floor residential scheme next to the stadium – will get the go-ahead has been moved back again. Documents seen by TheBusinessDesk.com show that the new date for the determination of the 248-apartment scheme has been shifted back to Tuesday January 19 2021 in order to accommodate further revisions to the building as well as highway alterations. The two buildings are part of a £100m plan to extend the City Ground to a 36,000 capacity stadium, which was originally revealed last February. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Jean_claude_killy - 08-01-2021 Details of the planning application have been removed with a note stating that they are no longer available for public viewing. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - ac_vodka - 08-01-2021 Is that a good or bad sign ? RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Tricky - 08-01-2021 (08-01-2021, 08:41 AM)ac_vodka Wrote: Is that a good or bad sign ? I think its a bad sign. As far as I am aware, all planning applications should be available for public viewing at all times. The removal could suggest the developers have pulled the plans, whether it is to revamp/revise them or because they are no longer going ahead remains to be seen RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sausage Roll - 08-01-2021 (08-01-2021, 10:33 AM)Tricky Wrote:(08-01-2021, 08:41 AM)ac_vodka Wrote: Is that a good or bad sign ? This is where a bit of communication from the club would be really useful. It's probably not widely known that the application can't be viewed online anymore yet, but when it is, fans will rightly have questions and will speculate. A short press release explaining why would stop all that immediately. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Tricky - 08-01-2021 Ive just been on the Rushcliffe planning website and there are two applications sitting there. 1 for the academy (dated 21st Dec 2020) and 2. for the stand demolition and rebuild, along with the flats??? RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Jean_claude_killy - 08-01-2021 Thats interesting RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Paplane - 08-01-2021 I use these council planning websites a lot and know from experience that they are prone to going down regularly. I suspect it was a glitch. I've just looked the application up and it's still there in all it's glory. And and regardless of whether the application is refused, approved or withdrawn it should always be available to view. Clearly there's not much happened on the application in a while. As such, expect another extension to the deadline if there's still dialogue going on. Or the club could refuse to extend and request a decision, thus calling the council's hand who will have to then refuse it. The significance of a refusal is that the club can then appeal and the decision is then made by the government inspectors rather than the council itself. But, my view is that the flats elements is too large and over bearing so there's a good chance an appeal would be lost. Ergo the over bearing nature of them..? SA. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Jean_claude_killy - 14-01-2021 Does anyone know if there has been any movement on the planning application for the new stand? I have read elsewhere that tonight's planning meeting did not discuss the application and it was the last meeting planned prior to determination date expiring; is this the case? If so, what implications does this have? |
