my guesstrapulation works like this, for every £2million spent in Jan we end up a place higher by the last day of the season

so to finish in the play offs Aitor Karanka will need to spend £20,000,000 probably on crabs

to win the league we'd probably need someone like Slavisa Jokanovic to spend £30,000,000 on predominantly offensive exciting players

the only other variable and worth consideration is high quality/high wage loans from the PL/Europes elite which messes up the simplicity of my guesstrapulation but there could be 2 or 3, for the sake of argument we could call each one £2million

you got me again!  I just read my post again and I am confused never mind anyone else.
it's difficult to predict where we will be in May.
The only absolute, categoric fact that is set in stone is that I've totally lost the plot and haven't got a clue!

Almost exactly 1 year ago to the day last seasons campaign sort of peaked at 7th in league.

Why not SA?

Certainly nothing for us to be afraid of.

I certainly wouldn't rule it out...

I wouldn't want to drop too much further behind the top two now though.

Norwich and Leeds are starting to breakaway just a little bit.

Let us see where we are after the Christmas and New Year fixtures are out of the way.

Hopefully we can stay unbeaten over the festive period.

If i was to guess right now i would say 7th or 8th. If our main defenders weren't out for this important period i would have said 4th but with that backbone missing i'm not so confident we are any better than top 10. We rely to much on two players at the moment to make the attacking game happen and they won't provided us with that because they knew the defence would be there to let them do what they can do.

I would say best case 2nd and worst case 5th.

I said 8th before a ball was kicked - and I’m sticking by that.
My glass though is very much half full & would love to be proved wrong!

I don't just want to finish above the sheep.

What if they finish 8th and we finish 7th?

It would of course be an improvement on previous seasons and progress but I want to finish 6th as a minimum requirement.

RE: The League Table Come May 2019 - zicorice - 15-12-2018

I think if we finish above them we will be top 6... even so....Above the sheep.

Zico, surely you would rather Forest finish 6th and Derby 5th than Forest finish 7th and Derby 8th wouldn't you?
