Why Fox? we should be happy that we have a good enough central defenders at the moment. If not injuries, suspensions will kick in early next year, and you need all decks on board .... in those positions getting a yellow or even a red is not uncommon, so lets thank God on the options we have.

I thought Dawson was ok.

He did at times command the area but he struggled when Bojan ran at him.

RE: Michael Dawson - Redgirl - 27-09-2018

It's a long season I think Dawson is wise enough to realise over the coming months he will get his fair share of starts. Can't see Karanka dropping Fox, he will be injured sooner or later anyway.

I thought Dawson was really good last night and he was leading and commanding.

I hope he can stay fit, stay in the team and keep the armband.

Dawson was first class yesterday but we have to be careful as we where playing Bolton, being commanding against Bolton might be different from being commanding against Leeds for example...so I think that we have to judge players following a run of games against different type of opposition.

I think we have to judge him against much harder opposition. Aside from the 20 minute spell before and after half time, Dawson and Figs were untroubled by a very weak Bolton attack.

Saturday's test against Leeds and in particular the fit again Roofe will be a much harder test.

I'd bring Fox back in and stick with Dawson. I thought Figs looked a little suspect with the ball at his feet last night. Fox is more assured in that regard. Hef looked shaky against Norwich and it was right to pull him out last night.

Great to see Dawson leading and commanding and wearing the armband again. I think it's what most of us thought and wanted to happen when we resigned him.

He was imperious yesterday...won almost everything...defence looked settled...if we win tge midfield battle more...the defence will look even better nd competent enough to see us through this season...

Dawson is an absolute professional, calm and commanding. So pleased he is now where he should be, centre of defence and captain.

Couldn't agree more Redgirl.

When I think about some of our defending at the back end of last season it was shocking, Cardiff away comes to mind.

A lot of us thought that Michael would go a long way to sorting that out and it is proving to be the case.

we barely concede since dawson has come back in

Agree with you Jock... the more surprising of how we collapsed when we played Burton ...
