That's quite a low bar.  :Funny:

A very low bar, although possibly a higher bar than some people on TV who are paid to talk about it.

Genuine question, given Dyche is a regular in the directors box, does he know EM or other senior club figures well?

It's funny how things work innit......had Dyche been appointed instead of Ange, or indeed at any point in time before now, the gates of hell would've been opened by the majority of fans & negativity would've rained down on Marinakis' head, but after the train wreck that we've all witnessed so far this season I would say most of what I've seen from fans is positivity & excitement to finally see what he can do (less so on X but well, ya know). I'm certainly waiting with bated breath........

It was all part of the plan...

All of it? He was definitely 3rd choice. He's been out of work since January. His record speaks for itself. Premier league clubs looking to qualify for Europe don't appoint managers like Sean Dyche. Premier league clubs desperately trying to avoid championship football do.

We are no more in danger of relegation now than we were when we sacked Hughton. Both times we had a terrible coach making the players look worse than they are and failing to get anywhere near the points they should have been getting with the playing squad. Avoiding relegation can not possibly be the aim for this season.

The season could still be a number of things.

Right now the most important factors are tightening up, getting confidence back and finding out best lineup.

No point being overambitious or writing the season off as a scrap until we see if Dyche and the wider collective can achieve the above.

RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - tugger2018 - 20-10-2025

Dyche will play 4-4-2
Expect this
Sels
Cuna milenkovic murrillo neco
Ndoye Sangare Anderson Cho
Mgw woods

RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - ozzyten10 - 20-10-2025

Dyche hasn’t played 442 for years - 4231-451-4141 - 4411- 433-532 closest was a 442 diamond when he played x2 wingers up front as he had striker injuries

RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Fella - 20-10-2025

So much negative bollocks being spouted - 90% of it untrue.

RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - ozzyten10 - 21-10-2025

This style thing is bollocks anyway. Just seen tonight’s MNF analysis and how high Forest were with ‘progressive’ metrics only for Gary O’Neil to call it out and say useless if you concede from every free kick and corner!
Eddie Howe is lauded for his ‘progressive’ football. That’s bollocks - long direct balls - win 2 nd balls - dark arts - rigid structure - fast wingers - massive centre halves and centre forward.
Irola - long balls and energetic press. Reset and time waste to get in shape - go again.
Arsenal- a posh Stoke- elite set pieces and patterns of play to get corners or free kicks from wide areas.
Pep has so much to answer for!
Ange - if he’d have had a pre season and we were aligned then he’d have had a chance - his 3 at the back really pissed me off as it just seemed lip service to his pass forward at all times football.
Dyche loves a good winger. He will love Anderson and Dominguez - and Yates. He will also stop MGW pissing about in the wrong areas of the pitch. He will get CHO to f*****g cross the ball. I’m also expecting a bit more patience from fans too.

Still not confirmed...

RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-10-2025

They won’t confirm it until he is available to do an interview for club media, take pics of him in training etc. Would hope its today sometime so he at least has a chance of preparing for Thursday.
