Nothing has happened. Nothing ever did happen. So its not news

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Tricky - 01-02-2021

I do get where Sniff is coming from regarding this. When the allegations against EM were first made public, the NP did run a story on it, albeit not a large story, but they did report on it either way.

Some form of acknowledgement that EM has been cleared of all pending charges against him deserves, at the very least, the same kind of attention.

They’ve run the story that he’s been exonerated Tricky - surely job done.

Thanks for that clarification Colnago, I wasn't aware!

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Uwantlee - 01-02-2021

To be honest, as a fan, I couldn’t give a crap about EMs past and allegations made about him whilst in charge of another team. If they were made against him whilst at NFFC then I would want to know about it and read the reports whether they positive or negative. I just don’t care about what’s happened in greece.... unless it’s offloading another unwanted player on to us.

What I do want to read about, hear about and be told about is what is happening at NFFC... again positive or negative. What do we get from the club??? Nothing... so if news reporters are all we have to rely on for any information I will read it... make my own mind up on the story and form my own opinions.

My opinions are not always agreed with but that’s what makes for healthy discussion.

The point is EM and NR give us nothing. No news. No updates. No clue on to how the club is changing, adapting or learning from mistakes gone.

I have had enough of EM and the current lot. They have had 3.5 years and IMO are showing nothing of improvement on the pitch... yes ok there have been changes off the pitch but these don’t affect me. They may benefit the club long term but in the here and now we are in very real danger of relegation. On the pitch we are arguably as bad now as we were in fawaz last season. I wish he had sold us to the Americans. Christ they can’t even get a stand built... we have had a year without fans, an ideal time to build but nope... if it happens at all it will be when the fans are back impacting on the finances of the club with less people there.

I have had enough of CH too... his interviews are passionless. His tactics are dull and predictable to the point where we make average sides look like world beaters. I can only hope the rumours of a replacement are true. Yes stability is important... but a lot of fans (not all and not most) now can’t see anything other than relegation by sticking with CH.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Widdow - 01-02-2021

It was good news re the owner, one less thing to tarnish him with by the media.

So when are the club going to build a stature of EM??

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 01-02-2021

When we win league 1 next season  :D

Yeah agreed on CH, I've always said the most important thing to judge a manager on is his interviews. Is Ian Holloway available?

You know we're in a global recession/pandemic right? You might want to slightly realign what is achieveable and affordable right now.

@nottmtails
Had meant to mention this on Friday... a lot of mud gets thrown in Greece, but it never sticks, as the phrase goes.

#NFFC owner Evangelos Marinakis has been cleared of match-fixing allegations.

Does Paul read this Forum?
