We are 15th. WDDLD We have a great chance now to really push on and get ourselves right up in amongst them before the next International break. COYR. RE: The Next 6 Games - the jock - 20-09-2018 Rotherham is a massive opportunity I hope we take it. Win that one and we r on the right track...knocking on 6th place... RE: The Next 6 Games - Duncan Mckenzie - 21-09-2018 Looking at the next 5 games we really have no excuse not to be sitting in a play off position by the time the next International break comes around. COYR. But who have the other teams got who are in the play off spots right now. As if they have games similar to us then they will be thinking the same. We need to keep the pressure on by winning the games dare i say it easier on paper but just as important if not more so beat the teams above to close the points gap. It's a long hard season and we can't allow ourselves to be on hoping other teams throw points away like we did at the start. COYR. Duncan is right ...we should finish this run of games in a play off spot...the third team is just 4 points away the 4th 3 points away and the following two at two points away...winning two and drawing another (at leadt) will surely put us at least in 6th spot...then the hard job will be to remain there... RE: The Next 6 Games - the jock - 21-09-2018 wigan villa hull and leeds have all beaten Rotherham this season. Brentford smashed them 5-1. they have also recently lost a promising centre half through injury. we need to win this if we have aspirations. RE: The Next 6 Games - Mcforest - 21-09-2018 So lets look at the next 4 fixtures for 3rd to 7 and compare to our own and see if we really can make the top 6 by the end of it Nottingham Forest next 4 fixtures Rotherham (h) win Blackburn (a) win Millwall (h) win Middlesbrough (a) loss Possible 9 points Aston Villa (7th) Sheff Weds (h) win Bristol city (a) draw Preston (h) win Millwall (a) win 10 points Sheffield Utd (6th) Preston (h) draw Millwall (a) win Blackburn (a) win Hull (h) win 10 points Bristol City (5th) Wigan (a) Draw Aston Villa (h) Draw Rotherham (a) Win Sheff Weds (h) Win 8 points WBA (4th) Millwall (h) win Preston (a) Win Sheff Weds (a) Win Reading (h) Win Points 12 Brentford (3rd) Derby (a) win Reading (h) Win Birmingham (h) Draw Leeds (a) Loss 7 points So the only teams I see us catching up on is Bristol city (1 points closer) and Brentford (2 points closer)but not enough to get top 6 but again it’s about putting pressure on them and then win the games against the higher ranked sides. Our run of games we should win on paper is very much inline with the others teams should win on paper games as well. RE: The Next 6 Games - Maltared - 21-09-2018 Mc Forest if your results will become reality, then it means that we are not even play off material. Are blackburn and Millwall going to loose all their games against such opponents? From the listed teams only us and Brentford will loose a game, are you that convinced of that? Anyway, if your prediction comes through, still I would consider the period (number of games) if we total 12 points from the 18 available (considering that we have 4 in the bag already). RE: The Next 6 Games - Mcforest - 21-09-2018 I think you might be missing my point. What I'm saying is that we shouldn't be expecting to be top six just because we have a good run of very winnable fixtures because the club's above us also have fixtures in which they should be winning. On that aspect you r right...but if we realy mean buisness we must keep the pace with them at least... |
