RE: Controversial Poll MON Stick Or Twist? - Alf Garnett - 09-04-2019

Exactly Sniffer.

It's like saying the younger generation of Forest fans can’t have an opinion on MON because they didn’t see him win 2 European Cups.

The way I see it too.

Saturdays performance at Rotherham was both disgusting and embarrassing.

People are still entitled to have an opinion whether they have seen the S**t served up on the pitch or not.
It's 2019, there are now other ways to watch matches.
There are a lot of people on this forum who don't live close to Nottingham and plenty who don't even live in the UK.
Yeah and there’s also a lot of fans who just go by bloody pointless stats and don’t actually bother to witness things in the flesh and also what the likes of Fray, Laws, Hodge and Taylor say as if it’s bloody gospel. I have absolutely nothing against those people, but they wouldn’t dare criticise anyone and upset the apple cart if there life depended on it.

How do you know that?

Or are you just assuming?

Even if you are right they can still have an opinion on this forum.

Think he means Laws, Hodge etc.

Just enjoy the bloody forum GreenMan and stop trying to antagonise people it is totally unnecessary.

If it’s still turgid and we are nowhere near top 6 at Christmas then that is the time to twist not until...

The thing is though Oz that means MON will bring in his players in the summer and then we twist at Christmas and the new manager wants his players in in January and round and round and round we go again!

RE: Controversial Poll MON Stick Or Twist? - Salvatore Matrecano - 09-04-2019

That the thing isnt it. We’ve tried twisting after 6 months, 9 months, 1 year and never once come close to making 21.

How about we give Martin the full 18months of his contract and see what happens, I cant see us being releated, the worst that could happen is we are in the same place, but at least we will have tried.

I get the turgid football thing, yes I do witness it with my own eyes. In my opinion it is no worse than that served up by Karanka, Davies, Pearce, Freedman, Cotterill and the rest early in their tenures. All this “worst we have payed in 20 years” is well over the top. I remember having a chat with a Wednesday fan during the Billy era after we had ground out a 0-0 at Hillsborough telling me how Davies had brought shame to the great name of Nottingham Forest. If results improve our style of play will improve simple as and we will only see that if we give things a chance.

Ah.  Life giving oxygen.

But, wait...it's littered with common sense.

Forest?  Actually let a manager fulfil the full term of his contract?  (The full 18 months?!)  You mean build something?  Get over the '12 game' attention span?  I'm not sure that's going to fly with 'ground hog' fans.

Forest never get any momentum going.  Because they sack managers before they can build it.  Attacking the symptoms but not the route cause.

MoN is the best chance of getting promoted we've had in 20 years.  Stay the course.

8?  Lol.  Let's keep twisting...(this manager isn't working after 12 games...twist....this manager isn't working about 12 games...twist...this manager isn't working after games....etc.  Etc.  Etc.  Etc.)

Enough said!

No wonder we never win against him...

Er.  No.  Definitely not.  He's a big boy but he's outta shape.  I wouldn't say that to his face either.
