We don't know exactly what the Planning Officers have told the club about what is acceptable and unacceptable really, but obviously, the club (or Benoy) have gone away with the recommendations/criticisms and come up with this latest set of planes. Fingers crossed eh?

Paplane, I also agree with you regards to what I see as an after thought stand alone structure adjacent to the new stand Trent End corner, very strange by the architects, to fill a space? Was this building which is now being proposed as the club shop over two floors originally planned as bars and restaurants that open to the public 7 days a week creating additional revenue? Must assume that the planners instigated this change as it makes no commercial sense!

I saw with Fulham's new stand they are building what looks like a roof-top bar, swimming pool and leisure place on the one end, obviously targeting business 7 days a week and taking advantage of the river view setting. I was hoping we might do something similar. A couple of floors of club shop doesn't feel like its making the most of it, though maybe the 'stand-alone' look means we could redevelop it further down the line.

Yep, they did say that. And wasn't originally the club shop going to be on the ground floor of the apartment building?

In that corner building the originally submitted scheme had staff accommodation at ground floor level, hospitality at first floor level, and retail at 2nd & 3rd floor levels. But strangely there was no apparent public access to the retail space from the outside or from the concourse. It just looked unresolved to me. Sounds like there's been some discussion on it now.
In that corner I'm not sure they're filling space as such, my criticism is that the whole form of the corner building doesn't evolve visually from the stand, which itself is fairly standard. It's like they've elected to go down a tried and tested path for the stand structure and just bolted the corner building onto the side. It should've been visually detached by a glazed or lesser linking structure in my opinion so that it expresses as an individual building element in it's own right.

Just scrolled through the list of docs. I looked at an objection: from Gemima Puddleduck, who lives at '18 the duck pond Puddleton Nottingham'.
The next 4 objections I clicked on were all supportive comments yet showing as objecting. I assume they had clicked on the wrong tick box?! Indeed the one guy had then lodged a support for it next in the list. That isn't being selective, that's literally the 5 objections I clicked on. I've got better things to do then sit going through it, but what's the point in having feedback when the data is that bad?!

The objective was to leave that corner of the ground kind of open, so fans arriving over Trent Bridge would still have that first glimpse into the ground as we currently have. That's why there is the corner addition (if my memory serves me correct anyway)

Yep, that's what I recall too.
Have the new plans got retail on the ground floor of the apartment block? If so, would that be the new club shop or a few high street names (Starbucks, Greggs etc) or a type of Tesco Express ensuring somewhere for the apartment residents can go for their bread and milk?
