Nottingham Forest are encouraging supporters to join in with a day of celebration this Saturday to remember the club’s greatest ever manager, Brian Clough.
Friday 20th September marks 15 years since Brian passed away and the club would like to see as many supporters join in with the day as possible to remember his legacy.
On the 15th minute of Saturday’s game against Barnsley, there will be an image of Brian Clough on the big screens and the club are encouraging supporters to hold a minutes’ applause.

I was left shocked and angry by Nottingham Forest sacking, admits Mark Warburton.
It might be almost 18 months since Mark Warburton was issued with his P45 by Nottingham Forest, but the Reds’ decision to sack him has left an indelible mark on the 57-year-old, one which still rankles now.
Manager Warburton left the City Ground after a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland on New Year’s Eve in 2017 and has since taken over at Forest’s Championship rivals QPR, his first job since leaving Nottingham.
Despite being handed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Forest, Warburton left after just nine months having guided the club to Championship safety, and has previously remarked on his feeling that goalposts had been moved when it came to expectations from the heirachy.
And that’s a feeling that hasn’t changed, despite finding himself back in management, he says.
“I was really angry about how it came about,” Warburton has told the Guardian.
“We were set targets and achieved every one.
“The size of squad was down, the average age was down. So that happened and I was really angry; you have to deal with that anger.
"It had come as a complete and utter shock.”
Warburton, his assistant David Weir and director of football Frank McParland were all appointed towards the end of Fawaz Al Hasawi’s tumultuous reign on Trentside, but left just a few months after Evangelos Marinakis’ takeover.
The ex-Reds chief admits that while the owners are free to make the decisions they do given their investment levels, that doesn’t lessen the frustration of his unexpected departure.
“It’s their club; owners put the money in,” he said.
“They stump up the money so you have to respect that side of it but I come from a background where you hit KPI’s, you hit targets and there is a long-term plan.
"When the goalposts move, that’s hard to take.”
Warburton is left in no doubt that he should have been given more time at the City Ground, having seen Aitor Karanka, Martin O’Neill and now Sabri Lamouchi take on one of the hottest seats in English football since he vacated it, and points to other managers that have been backed when things were tough.
“Lee Johnson had a rough time at Bristol City,” Warburton mused.
“The owner stuck by him, now they are doing tremendously well. Dean Smith had a tough run at Brentford and look where he has ended up.
“Choose your manager wisely, then stick by him.
"It takes time.”
Rangers have enjoyed a fine start to life under Warburton, sitting fourth in the league, but knowing the Championship as he does, he takes nothing for granted in a division where so many crave Premier League football, Forest and Rangers included.
“There is no gimme game," he said.
“Bottom beats top and nobody is surprised. You put together four wins and you can go from 18th to eighth.
“You lose three games and people think you are in a relegation fight. We will have good days and bad days – that’s what happens with a new squad.”.
“Anyone in the top 10 come March can sniff the Premier League.”

Personally I think he deserved to be sacked, his style of football must have sent our owners to sleep and him and his pal Mcparland made some right dodgy signings.

got to say i liked Warbs, quite happy with 'make plan A work', i genuinely wish him all the best, to be honest i think all the managers back to Psycho did deserved to be treated much better and have all contributed to where the squad is now.
AK's appointment achieved absolutely nothing the 2nd half of that season ... except .. of course .. for .. drum roll ...........

Of course they moved, his signings were mostly shit, Cummings, McKay etc and then he wanted to sign even more of the same ilk. Does he really think that Marinakis and Vrentzos are going to be impressed signing Cummings, Mckay, Murphy and Bridcutt.

He got sacked because he lost 1/2 his games.
He sets his teams up to attack and score goals and tries to out score the opponent.
QPR doing very well at present, but will it last?
They have scored 14 but conceded 12.

Exactly.

Plus during his time at the club he didn't really improve us as a team or improve on our league position plus his signings were mainly poor as mentioned above. He deserved to go.
