Yep 21st century. Not the 20th where managers like Cloughy would tell the chairman to do one.

Sadly Pap - Cloughie’s style would not be tolerated these days.

But he was the manager - and understood clearly who needed a bollocking, who needed an arm around the shoulder.

For me is was rank bad man management.

It wasnt like the guy went into the dressing room at half time to bollock the players though was it TPL? That would've been the action of an owner undermining the manager. This was an end of season meeting wasn't it?

And we've only got one side of the story from a mole in the meeting who voiced off to the press. When you're on the end of a kicking from the boss, you don't leave the room singing his praises do you? No, you're miffed. It was bound to be reported negatively. It doesn't mean it wasn't justified.

Exactly Pap.

EM is the boss, what boss especially in the middle of a pandemic when people can't travel and hold meetings under the same roof etc wouldn't call all of his employees together for a zoom meeting?

Some perhaps want to make a big story out of it I don't know. But there is really nothing to see in my opinion. It's a perfectly normal thing to do.

Just me and you again then Sniff.

Look at the scum the sheep are now talking to about buying the club. I'll stick with EM thanks.

I read it but couldnt be bothered to mention it. Its just more negativity and criticism although tempered a little this time around. I suspect he is holding his fire until the 2nd interview .

agree - rinse and repeat from previous critics

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-03-2021

Yes nothing new is there from him, mainly focused on the lack of football experience in the heirarchy which is a fair comment in some regards. I have said for a long time the owners could take an awful lot of heat off themselves simply by employing an experienced director of football (no I dont mean Dourekas he has a different role), it would leave IV free rein to run the business which everybody seems to agree he is pretty decent at.

DT doesnt help himself by constantly banging on about broken promises, yeah we know we arent in the PL yet. And so what about the bloody miracle gates, doesnt seem to have occurred to him that if the new stand goes ahead those gates would almost certainly have had to be pulled down and relocated. How about we think about it after the stand is built.

Big summer ahead for the owners though, I think we need to see the following.
1. Lessons learned on recruitment and long term investment in the playing squad.
2. Stability of management
3. CAT 1 status for academy achieved
4. Planning permission for new stand.

A big ask but do all of the above and any questions about EM and the ownership should be blown away.

Fair enough Sav.

Not that different to the ask from DT.

But perish the thought that any of us agree with him  :P

I think what SM very rightly said and what DT says are worlds apart. For a start SM stuck to facts and didn't make anything up.

Good post SM and very well put unlike DT who often talks out of his arse.
