Good post SM and very well put unlike DT who often talks out of his arse.

Just for the record - I read DT’s latest article & chose not to mention it on here.

No point in going over old ground - and polarising opinion.

Agreed TPL. I saw something on social media about it but also chose not to bring it up. Of course it can be debated but it was nothing new so there was no point.

I have said for a long time the owners could take an awful lot of heat off themselves simply by employing an experienced director of football (no I dont mean Dourekas he has a different role), it would leave IV free rein to run the business which everybody seems to agree he is pretty decent at.

DT doesnt help himself by constantly banging on about broken promises, yeah we know we arent in the PL yet. And so what about the bloody miracle gates, doesnt seem to have occurred to him that if the new stand goes ahead those gates would almost certainly have had to be pulled down and relocated. How about we think about it after the stand is built.

Big summer ahead for the owners though, I think we need to see the following.
1. Lessons learned on recruitment and long term investment in the playing squad.
2. Stability  of management
3. CAT 1 status for academy achieved
4. Planning permission for new stand.

A big ask but do all of the above and any questions about EM and the ownership should be blown away.

Gary Brazil is now Director of Football Development which includes recruitment for both first team and the Academy.

He has only had the one window so far and that went fairly well; Hughton got the players he wanted.

Believe that is for UK based domestic players only.

I like DT but feel he has a personal grievance with the current ownership for some reason, especially when you look at the comments rather than the story on the althlwtic piece.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Madforit - 29-03-2021

He is coming across as a stuck record and someone that is on a personal mission with an axe to grind.

Not seen the Taylor article in question.  What did he say?

I think Forest gave a fair 'sermon' from the mount to finally communicate to fans how they feel good progress has made from such a poor starting position when the owners took over and how they feel with the lack of progress this season in a results based business.

With Part 2 pending which should give an indication from where Forest are going.  The stand and the academy areas are very exciting prospects.  They give and will give Forest strength.  Really looking forward to hearing from Randall how all that is going.

Thought Randall handled it pretty well.  He never said that Forest haven't made mistakes or couldn't handle criticism.  They've put in place two individuals in Gary and Chris that should improve recruitment substantially with a whole Summer window.  And a pre-season to equip them for an actual Championship campaign.  There aint no sugar coating last Summer.

Baring match day threads.  I just want this season to be over.  And lance the wound of this season.  Self inflicted as it was.  We were never going to make the play offs with such poor preparation.

SA.

Didn’t really say anything SA.

He was mildly critical of Randall - suggesting the questioning to be tame.

Nothing anyone could argue with really.

As suggested by several - nothing new...

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Uwantlee - 29-03-2021

Personally I think we need to put everything said by everyone to the side and just watch what happens. We can all sit here and debate he said she said but none of it matters one bit.

The club have admitted mistakes

We will see just what progress has been made in good time.

None of us know better than those in the club and the journalists are doing their job... getting people reading their articles.

After the summer we can pick the bones of what happens but at this moment all that matters is surviving in the championship.

I have a feeling we will hear news on the new stand and academy very soon.
I also think the summer signings will be of a different breed to previous windows.

I am happy to see what happens and what the owners have planned.
