Not so good Sniffer? I’m liking his partnership with Worral more and more. We’ve played 2 of the best teams in the league and our goalie has had hardly anything to do. Can’t wait to see Jenkinson in there then we have a real good back four.

I like the partnership too Woody, I wasn't criticising Daws, I was just trying to praise his leadership skills, it was so apparent against Leeds, he was organising everything and everyone at both ends of the pitch. Top stuff, a proper captain.

RE: Michael Dawson - the jock - 12-08-2019

i hope we can keep him fit. we need him.

We've been crying out for that. Dawson was such a miss when he got injured last season.

Yes he was, a massive miss. IMO he broke down as he was being over-played.

Hopefully won't have that happen this season.

RE: Michael Dawson - GaribaldiRED - 13-08-2019

Dawson is definitely a proper captain but he is terribly slow. He was massively exposed when Forest sat a high defensive line against Leeds. I believe he will have to stand down if Chema is the player we all hope he is and he slots in on the left side. Worral in the right side for me.

I think Michael will make a really good coach when he decides to hang up his boots.

Perhaps we should make him a player coach now which will help with FFP.

If another club can get away with it why not lol?

Pants can be goalkeeping player coach
Watson and Yacob can be midfielder player coaches
murphy if we can’t get rid can be striker coach

Clough and Cummings can be the coach drivers!!

I think so too Robbo. I hope he stays at the club when he calls it a day on his playing career like Chrissy Cohen.

Me too. There should be a place somewhere at our club for model professionals like Cohen and Dawson. Both great examples to the young players etc. Would be very happy to have Michael around in some capacity when he decides to end his playing career.

RE: Michael Dawson - Jasper Scarrott - 15-09-2019

Some thought that Dawson was just going to be a squad filler at best this season.

So far he has been absolutely immense, Captain Marvel, first name on the teamsheet when fit.

Long may it continue.
