Sabri absolutely fuming!

IMO Watson spent too much time arguing with the ref. Grabs was ready to go, we had the penalty - take it.

My thoughts exactly. Sky we’re covering the penalty live - and Grabban was kept waiting for an eternity (by Watson),

Grabban missed three opportunities, can't pin this on Yates.

Walker definitely gives us something different up front. I can't remember the last time I saw a diving header in the box from a Forest player.

He has to take responsibility for letting Grabban take penalties though. The amount of attention to detail and analysis of performance these days and yet he's still taking them?

The entire fan base can see Grabban's penalties are weak, I can't believe there isn't a better taker at the club. I can only assume he was afraid of upsetting Grabban by taking them off him.

penalty was given for foul on yates not the handball apparently... Watson was arguing for handball and red card which he didnt even give. Anyway - awful penalty telegraphed with no pace - Grabban had two other golden chances too - but their goal was a yard offside. We have a real tough run of fixtures now - Leeds and Charlton, followed by WBA away. 4 points off second - effectively 5 with GD. top 6 is achievable but Bristol, Preston and swansea all in the hunt. Fulham and Brentford the big winners today...

I mentioned it already, I think the problem was too much arguing with the ref after we had won the penalty. Grabban was left standing, staring at the ball for too long while Watson argued. This more than anything took the edge of Grabban.
He is our leading goalscorer, I do not have an issue with him taking penalties, just let him take them at his pace. Once he's tee'd up that's it - go.

Suspect - nail on head.

I agree with this too. Apart from harassment of referees being something that we shouldn't do, it's naive / stupid to do that and keep your player waiting. Basic sports psychology. Not something an experienced captain should have done. A bit like celebrating like kids and losing focus when we score a goal in the 95th minute and assuming its the winner.

Self-harm? Check.

McD, I agreed with your point, missed this reply.

But the criticism of Grabban taking penalties stands 100%. They've been terrible since he joined the club. It was screamingly obvious he shouldn't be taking them over a year ago.

RE: Birmingham City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 01-02-2020

Only just calmed down after the defeat. I was raging. Complete throw away from us today. In complete command of the game, crowd rebelling, ball on the spot for 2-0.

How the f do you lose the game from that point? Brum were shite today and we shouldve win 3 or 4 nil.

More points dropped from a winning position. Sabri needs to work out how the team collectively lose their heads after flash points. Its happening consistently and has cost us promotion so a serious issue that cost us dear.
