It is clear that we have now gone to a more European structure. For me, Modesto is clearly the reason that MON was sacked. He wanted proven players from British leagues and our club is set up to exploit the European market. I think unfortunately, clough, Cummins etc has clouded those with the purse strings.

One encouragement from watching the matches is that our new coach is so hands on - especially with Younger players. For instance he was coaching Tyler throughout - trying to encourage pressing at the right time and being on the half turn. Also with Ameobi he was constantly encouraging with his positioning for the press.

However, all I hope is that he gets the full season - nobody can get promotion (on a shoestring) without time.

Didn't honestly know it was there as it's not on screen visible, found it now though! :)

Switches between 442 and 451, low possession so relatively direct, lets the attackers run with it, tight defence. Those stats sound awfully similar to our last manager...

very apprehensive ...

Are you just on the wind up constantly?

i think those who were jumping up and down with joy when M o N was sacked should keep expressing there joy, surely it hasn't worn off yet?   I would also like to see feelings of ecstacy being bolstered with some sound reasoning

For me i am convinced we have taken a huge backward step ... again ... i see it as a 4 year backward step ... and it seems we got a Dougie, i want to be proved wrong and feel like an even bigger idiot.

I am sorry a read the article, but, let's face it, we are a long way off of happy clappy territory

Wind your neck in a bit PPS.

Half of the forum members are getting depressed reading your posts.

You have made your point regarding MON.

I think it 's time to let go now and move on.

Thanks.

Brilliant post Ozzy, agree entirely.

New Nottingham Forest recruit, Albert Adomah has hailed his new manager, Sabri Lamouchi insisting he is elated to work under him.

“It really seems like everyone is enjoying the new head coach and all of the sessions he is putting on. Everyone is buying into it. I know it’s only the beginning, he’s only been here two weeks, but as time progresses everyone will follow his philosophy.

“I’m sure he’s formulating for the Championship and I am certain everyone is buying into his work.”

Good job he is not formulating for the Greek league

RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Tricky - 02-08-2019

So Sabri has been in post for a number of weeks now and whilst the season doesn't kick off until tomorrow, what are everyone's opinions of him now?

Has he won you around, if you were unsure of his appointment? Do you think his style of play is an improvement on AK's or MoN's?

Me personally, at the start of his tenure, i was uncertain we had made the right appointment and I was gutted MoN had been sacked, but we have seen what his motivations are, we have seen how he wants his team to play and we have heard what players think of him. From my point of view as a fan, the jury is still out on him, but, if the team do play the way he wants them to and play for him, then I see no reason why he cannot be a success at Forest and we have a damned good season. Promotion this year? No, i don't think we will do it. Play offs? yes, i do believe we have a squad capable of getting into the top 6 and then progressing next season, should he remain at the helm.

Lamouchi has won me around, the more I hear about him the more I like.

He seems very happy and more accepting than Karanka and MON to work with Dourekas and Modesto which I consider to be very important. That may also buy him more time in the job which I also consider important.

Early days but I think Lamouchi could turn out to be a very good appointment.
