The key thing for the club is continuity, which places a greater emphasis on the work of Modesto and Dourekas.

We cannot keep changing the style and ethos of the way the team plays every time we change manager or coach.

We have done that in the past and all we end up with is a bloated squad of players who we cannot move on.

Hopefully we now have a Coach who buys into the Clubs philosophy and will be around for a while.

But who the f**k are Modesto and Dourekas?

What's their track record? Which gems have they signed, which stinkers?

Lamouchi interview in today’s Guardian.

Yes, that last line is a belter:

” There are no blurred lines over Marinakis’s ambition either. “It’s clear. ‘You go up or I kill you,’'

:)

Lamouchi has something about him, his interviews are a breath of fresh air.

Got a good feeling, this feels right don't ask me why but it does, the guys outlook, philosophy everything, impresses me.

No idea of Lamouchi's ability, but his swift actions & no-nonesense attitude stand him in good stead with me.

We've a tough start, but if we can hold our nerve until mid-late Sep I think we'll push on.

Lots to like about him early doors. Am I the only one on here who thinks he wouldn't look out of place with the FEC?

I think he’ll be gone before December.

Marinakis trusts the structure and those in place so if we’re not top six early days then it’s inevitable that Sabri will be the fall guy.

I hope it’s not the case. I actually like the way Sabri sets us up to play, do we have sufficient quality to meet his standards?

I agree (not about December)

If things go tits up I won't blame the manager.

If he is sacked in December I hope we bring in a coach with a similar ethos this time, rather than an old school MON type. Coaches should be interchangeable and able to work with the assembled squad.

It'll be Nigel Clough :D
