RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 21-08-2021 It's bloody frustrating mate. I have enough on my plate. This is turning into a full time job. All I ask is for people to stop and think for a second before making a post to make sure it goes into the right thread. Every thread is turning into a 'we don't have any left backs, Hughton has been left without signings' etc etc. Yes we bloody already know that we don't need telling on every bloody thread 50 times a day. Rant over. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Marinakis Red - 21-08-2021 (21-08-2021, 07:40 AM)Sniffer Dog Wrote: It's bloody frustrating mate. I have enough on my plate. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - zicorice - 21-08-2021 I think EM will hold "fire" until after transfer window now, to see how it pans out once squad is decided. With a fair wind he will hopefully be sat back watching the improvement and results. Apologies mate, and point taken. Happy for you to delete my posts if it helps. Olympiakos were knocked out of the Champions League last week and the coach has not been sacked. He also gave Sabri another crack at the start of last season. With a fair wind he will hopefully be sat back watching the improvement and results. A pity that hurricane doesn't hit Mari with full force. Because it's his hubris (his own) that has him still waiting for the Premiership riches. He appointed the new CEO far too late this Summer. Which has had an impact on bringing players in compounded by a slow market. It's only taken Marinakis 4 years to realise that what works 'over there' doesn't work 'over here.' Marinakis doesn't have patience. Certainly not with managers. He ultimately owns last season. He's the owner. He kept Sabri when it was clear to the fans he'd long since lost the plot. His strategic blunder was appointing Hughton too late and without his own squad. And Hughton still doesn't have his own squad a year later. There's no point employing an 'excellent candidate' (Randall's own words) and treating him shabbily with signings. He may as well have another temper tantrum and fire Hughton (because it's likely Forest are going to lose 4 in a row.) So we can 'start again.' But his track record shows when he gets rid of managers at Forest? Forest have progressively finished lower and lower. Until Mari and some fans wrap their head around this. Forest will stay in this division. As for my posts not being relevant. (I've deleted plenty of my own. If people don't like them. Ignore them. Or put me on ignore. There are plenty of irrelevant posts by plenty of posters on plenty of threads.). My comments. They're entirely aimed at the owner. Yes, it's his train set. But he's merely the custodian. His on the field success (or lack of it) is because he's renowned for his lack of patience. I guess it's him reaping the 'whirlwind' now. SA. With a fair wind he will hopefully be sat back watching the improvement and results. Spot on. For all the off field improvements, and there have been a lot, we are no better on the pitch than we were when EM took over. And, whilst we all appreciate the work on the academy, structure, staffing and ground none of it will matter if the first team continues to suffer as it is now and has been for 20 odd years. At the end of it all no body will care about the off field stuff if we continue to stagnate or worse get relegated (certain this won't happen). EM will only have so much time before fans start to turn on him..l we have to start making progress on the pitch. Hopefully the new structure and direction will have us moving in the right direction and soon. The first part is getting the players in this window... can you imagine the situation if we don't. I would imagine and hope EM has been in contact with the people based at the club telling them to get it sorted. The biggest question is... does CH survive if we lose today. Forget the points about lack of signings or poor tactics... will EM pull the trigger if we lose. Is he losing his patience with CH. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - SSM - 21-08-2021 Suspect EM will only make a change if he has someone already lined up. Seems to have been the case largely thus far under him. Talk of Chris Wilder, Steve Cooper and John Terry at the game in the week. Obviously managers/coaches/staff takes games in a lot anyway. But interesting to see so many. Not much room for sentiment from managers to one another in the game now. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Marinakis Red - 21-08-2021 Mr Marinakis got the appointment of Hughton wrong. I for am am hoping he does not take too much longer to rectify it. I think we have a lot of good things going on at the club right now, it's just not translated to the first team pitch yet. A modern thinking manager to get a bit more out of the young exciting talent could yet be the biggest appointment yet and could actually see us make some progress this year. Seems to have been the case largely thus far under him. Interesting choice of names. But without 'a little patience' they'll meet the same fate. Wilder took several seasons to get Sheff Utd to the Premier. And in the end, he met his fate with a change in owner. The days of Clough being in place for two decades are over. In fact, Clough wouldn't have survived under Mari'. His brashness would have put Mari's nose out of join and the 1st season of his 2nd Division tenure for Forest would have seen him outside the top 6 and fired. Steve Cooper did ok with Swansea. Yes. But they've had plan of succession and a philosophy for quite a while. So it's much easier for a 'good' manager to come and have 'some degree' of success with Swansea. He might not find it that easy at Forest when you're still waiting for players. It's to do with getting off the field work to translate to on the field success. We're quite aware of what's been put in place. But without on the field patience, what's the point? SA. I was hoping for a progressive offensive manager, i named them at the time, I think I have discussed that to death over the last 18 months to be fair, yes including whilst sabri was with us. We have been suffocated with utter boredom of defensive and pragmatic managers for some time. I have been blasted a few times on this very forum for wanting to be entertained at a football game. Who would of thought it hey? |
