Doubt it though.

Agree although apparently it was checked by VAR who said it wasn’t a penalty. I know, shocker hey that another clear pull down in our box isn’t given (Everton, Newcastle, now Liverpool). You can bet had that been the other way at nil nil it would be a penalty. It was exactly the same by the way as the penalty Brighton got v us for the pull by Wood ?

Yesterdays was much worse than that.

1st thing at work this morning.
Liverpool fan (LF): "it was blown way out of proportion"
Me: "yeh i don't think it was"
LF: "no different to the ref awarding a corner or a goal kick incorrectly"
Me: "well it was in the 96th minute and handed you the opportunity to go on one last attack which you did"
LF: "but we should have had a FK, Yates kicked konate"
Me: "pretty sure he didn't. Kelleher wipes him out. You might want to look back at that"
LF: "we didn't score till 2 minutes after the incident"
Me: "true and we should have cleared our lines but you wouldn't have had that situation if the ref had made the correct decision"
LF: "ref did the same to us earlier on"
Me" "again true but we didn't score with the last kick of the game because of it"

You just can't talk football with a Liverpool fan.

The ref didn't do the same to them earlier on. If he's talking about the Yates incident not a single Liverpool player touched the ball before (or after) the whistle was blown

Tierney’s been relegated to VAR assistant this weekend

Different ref will f-up this week taking the spotlight (hopefully not in our game!), so Tierney can return the week after, and so it continues.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Liverpool - Simon - 04-03-2024

Which means nothing then if they consider he can be the var. This is a face saving move only on their behalf.

Liverpool cyber warriors nearly breaking the Internet. I didn't think it was possible to hate a team (who are not local rivals) as much as I hate those bin dipper, excuse making, deflecting w@nkers.

The way they are twisting the abuse their bench got at end and making our Robertson "saved a kid" sat in front of B block (in Scouse shirt)  has finished me off. I'm staying off rest of Social media until Sunday.

I hope Arsenal or Man City both finish above them.

The irony of those murderous bastards to talk about our fans endangering lives. I've debated with myself whether to bring up Heysel but to quite honest I really can't be arsed to get into another argument with them. It's like playing chess with a pigeon

Unfortunately they have successfully filled the internet with false pictures of kung fu kicks, twisted rules and pictures of them looking saintly. Everyone in that stadium knows what really happened but the rest of the world thinks Forest are the muppets.
It sucks but take the resentment and turn it into an attitude that backs the team to survival.

All football fans have selective memories but Liverpool ones take it to another level. Remember Hillsborough but not Heysal. Yates king fu kicked Koante but forgetRobertson elbowing Williams or the assault on Sels. They are special aren’t they.

RE: Nottingham Forest - Liverpool - Paplane - 06-03-2024

I knew this would happen. There was an initial media dismissal of the fact an injustice was done, then when they saw the facts they chose to critise our employment of Clattenberg and Marinakis' exploits, not analyse the effect the decision had on the result. Now, a few days later, the football establishment gets back in line behind the scousers. Pictures of kung foo kicks from an angle that shows boot to head are prevalent rather than others that clearly show there was no connection at all.

We just cant resist the pro scouse narrative. Ive never felt less connected to the premier league than i have these last few weeks. We're being dealt with.
