RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - DeesideRed - 19-04-2026 Anyone know what the crack is with Awoniyi? RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - JollyLollyAussie - 19-04-2026 Forest1970, yes we won and gained 3pts towards safety which is all that matters while opinions are for forum discussion COYR RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - GentlemanBob - 19-04-2026 I'd like to shout out to Ryan Yates. He is a marvellous professional with all the strength of attitude and ability that you could hope for. Even when he's not starting he is the heart of our squad and club. Sensational cross for MGW. RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - Salvatore Matrecano - 19-04-2026 The BBCs match report has somehow managed to make the entire article about Spurs. Quite some achievement even allowing for Big6 bias. RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - Reds73 - 19-04-2026 (19-04-2026, 05:28 PM)DeesideRed Wrote: Anyone know what the crack is with Awoniyi? What do you mean ? He was on the bench Vitor clearly has Wood & Jesus in front of him, so I don’t think there are many arguments with that RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - Chicago - 19-04-2026 i think we have to be honest. Bumley were absolutely atrocious luckily for us. The first half we were completely devoid of ideas. we didn't even really look like having an attempt on goal. Bakwa was non existent which is so weird because in France he was insanely direct and scored some good goals. Here he just kept passing it back. In fact, the whole of the first half we kept passing back. They scored on a c**k up by the serbinator. The second half we scored from a c**k up by Ward prowse. Also our set pieces reverted to type. We needed a bit of Taiwo chaos and we got it from Jesus. He was more of a menace than I thought he would be. Yatesy coming on was also immensely helpful. yes, we were two - one up at the time due to Morgan connecting on a beauty. Ironically in the first half he was like a chicken with wellies. (yes I went there!). Confidence. confidence. CONFIDENCE!!!! As soon as we went ahead we looked like a football team and then of course the fourth was a classic Forest goal with Dom stealing the ball and sliding it to Jesus who was chased by 8 players. It was weird watching the run as he looked like he was running in treacle yet his finish was great. Taiwo would have got there first but probably scuffed it wide. I think we need to be scruffy against sun'land again on Friday. Hopefully we learn from today because luck was on our side even if the finishes were very good in the second half. Also Cunha was much better than Murillo who looks completely off his game. Maybe the rest will do him good. All eyes on Palarse Monday but today could have been the turning point we needed. Chicago: Still not feeling completely calm. RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - wassy04 - 19-04-2026 (19-04-2026, 05:47 PM)GentlemanBob Wrote: I'd like to shout out to Ryan Yates. I think he's unlucky to not get more game time really. I'd have him above Dominguez personally. You are right though the first half was poor. Probably the worst since Everton home and away, Leeds away, Wolves at home and Braga away etc. RE: Nottingham Forest - Burnley - Paplane - 20-04-2026 (20-04-2026, 07:27 AM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote:(19-04-2026, 02:49 PM)DeesideRed Wrote: Let's be clear here, that half of football was the worst any Forest team has produced in quite some time Except this time Sniff we had a coach in charge who is tactically astute, saw the issues and came up with a solution. It was a pleasure to see, it really was. People will applaud MGW, but Periera's contribution yesterday was just as significant. Vitor's game management was superb.
