Joe has said it's not shin splints (sorry, don't have a link to his comments) but Chronic Muscle Compartment Syndrome. Very painful.

Coming on as sub isn’t suited to him either.
One thing under Hughton is that we do get a lot of crosses into the box but that seems to be more from Ameobi and Christie.
Sometimes a player will not produce if he’s not getting enough of the ball in the right areas.
He also looks worse when played centrally, that has not changed from the last few years.
