The foundation this season has been Daws- many said too old. Worrall- shipped out on loan, many said not good enough or not convinced and Watson - given dogs abuse in some quarters.
Form is temporary, class is permanent. Not necessarily on here, but annoys the crap out of me how quickly some people label players as past it or useless based on a dip in form or injuries. Anyone who has played, even only upto semi pro knows form is affected by many things. Those variations are accentuated more the higher you go. E.g.. Grabban, started last season slowly (new club, finding his feet) then hit his straps and was once again the best striker in the league on form. Then, annoying injury occurred, when he came back was never 100% fit. Some people slaughtered him for "Not trying" even though my guess is he was being injected for his Achilles before every game. A 90% fit Grabban is not going to be able to do the stuff he did yesterday, but was still our best CF option at that time.
It seems Joe Lolley has been playing through the pain barrier so far this season with his broken toe and guess what? His form has dipped, but still ripped up Brum and Sheep.
If a player is crap, a player is crap e.g.Dumi, Bentner and loads others that are on another thread, but some may have lost a bit of confidence following injury or a spell out of the side, so the stick they get is hardly going to help. Watson was class when he first signed and helped pull us up the table, he is class right now yet up until yesterday there were still some (again not here) calling for him to be dropped. He will undoubtedly have an off day at some point and then all the Muppets will be all over him like a rash. Really annoys me. Still if the most successful captain in our history wasn't immune (in almost anyone's history!!) then what chance is there..
Sorry. Rant over. I am actually buzzing after yesterday's performance but something elsewhere set me off.

Was gutted when we sold him, delighted when he came back. For him to captain a promotion winning team would be a dream come true for us and him.
A model pro and Forest through and through what a marvellous example he is to the younger players.

Thankfully the injury to Dawson is not serious.
He has injured his calf and he should be back after the next international break so he will hopefully miss just 2 games.

Also carvalho and Lolley looked shattered last night. Lolley playing with a broken toe?
Cash however must be super fit... would love to see his running stats - even for his last 2 games

Let's hope so, we need him and he hasn't always been the quickest of healers after an injury. I would take 4 points from those two games all day long. Should keep us in the mix at top end if we can.

I love Daws and I want him back in the team asap but having said that I have total faith in our other Centre Backs to step in and do a good solid job when required.
