Don't use this forum to hide behind.
You are entitled to your opinion and to slag our owners off that is your right but don't use this forum for your platform to do it and to hide behind.

If you have a problem with EM then take it to him directly not via this forum.
Get yourself down to the City Ground with your little flags and banners and start your protest in front of the cameras.
Grow some balls, front him up directly and stop taking the cowards way out by hiding behind this forum.
Do you have the balls to do that?

Top post.

We’re all here because we’ve got Forest in out blood and we’re all hurting and pissed off

We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but we have to trust

Mistakes have been made but the club do genuinely seem to be learning from them and trying to put a structure in place to change things.

It takes time to make an impact that has substance and leaves a legacy rather than just making knee jerk change

We are all hurting; we’re all pissed off and we’re all managers or scouts with ideas on formations ans players etc

Debate is great and I love to read other people’s views on here

Toxicity and all out hatred is bad.

Sniffer - top work on the forum; chin up.

Onto Saturday. Keep the faith.

Until we hear anything official regarding finances / lack of them / Dane is shit / Vrentzos is interfering / board are sleepwalking through disaster then I’m still supportive

We nearly went to the wall under Fawaz. We were close to not having an NFFC. Let that sink in.

I fully expect a backlash to this post but this is my opinion. You can disagree with it all that you want. All I ask is that you respect it.

Can I just have it on record sniff that I am more than happy with the owners it can’t be easy for them currently
The championship is an unforgiving untameable beast of a league maybe the hardest league in the world
I am right behind our new CEO and moving forward we all need to pull together in the same direction true north
[starting after the derby match when Hughton has probably left ]

Realism with last nights game, we played our kids and they had a strong side out with 5 who started in the premier league game on Saturday started again last night. The cost of the wolves line up in comparison to our 7 youth academy products starting is huge.

What did people really expect last night? I did not expect wolves to name a team as strong as they did but once they did it was going to be tough considering the side we put out. Wolves are not Bradford.

In fact I will send it to him.

Some of our 'fans' really are gutter level to be polite.

Boo hoo sniff... someone challenges what the greeks have done and you thow your toys out. Bloody gutter level... one word against them and you start with the threats.... we're upset... hurting... and where is our glorious owner. I don't care who he has employed to work for him. It's his club its his responsibility. He needs to get his arse to Nottingham and get this sorted.

OK we are in a better state off the field than when fawaz was here but christ man you get a grip.

Seriously we are in more danger of relegation now than we ever were under fawaz and all of the off field stuff ain't gonna help us.

Emotions are running high with supporters having to sit and watch our club be in the position it is and all you can do is sulk and threaten to send it to him... do it. It might make him realise that he's gotta actually do something. Hiring and firing managers, watching us spunk money away and then changing tact leaving us in real danger.

Let me ask this question... if we do get relegated will EM be any better than fawaz then? We never got relegated under fawaz. Don't get me wrong I hated fawaz and don't want him back and I am desperate to see EM succeed as you are sniff but its time for him to deliver as we further away from the premiership than we have been for 14 years.

Cat 1, stadium plans (that's all they are at the moment) staffing changes all mean nothing when the club is in the state its in on the pitch.

Is EM the man to succeed and take us forward... I hope so. If this season carries on much longer in then waybit has then he will find a lot more fans questioning him... and we are within our rights to.

Apologies if I have offended here but I am fuming at the way the club is being run at present and I do not wish to upset.

FYI, we avoided relegation on the last game of the season where we had to win under Fawaz (admittedly his final year/the takeover was close at that point). I would call that pretty close to relegation though...

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Mcforest - 25-08-2021

Sorry but every football club has issues at least ours are willing to learn and try something. I'm just gob smacked that this is kicking off the way it is. It's ok to ask questions but wow this is a different level to the point i can't be bothered to finish reading the thread.

- No FFP embargos
- players wages - paid with more scrutiny on that now we would have likely received point deductions had it happened today
- No appointing a stuck off lawyer to act as CEO
- No appointing a former groundsman/light engineer as CEO
- No banning of media ( yes this was Billy D but approved by Fawaz )
- No Twitter`ing - to many examples  tragic comedy exchanges
- Creditability with EFL as Randal now part of the committee.
- Cat1 status
-  New ground plans close to sign off and significant investment to achieve
- Making money on some transfers
- No commissioned paintings of EM in the Clough era as if he was involved.
- Improvements to the commercial operations ( although the latest catering one is a negative so far )
- No interference into team selection
- No eye test issues
- Not arranging contracts on nights out with players
- 150th Anniversary shambles.
- Treatment of Frank Clark / Paul Faulkner
- Selling players and informing the press before the manager - JL/KD

The list could go on.

I know we are in a poor state currently with the squad and results and I get people are concerned but its not the sad story it was previously.

Certainly room for improvement, as with anything and that is currently what we want to see from the new leadership but it will take time to embed and remove our more recent mistakes from history ( e.g the Carvalho experiment and the madness of the last window ) and evolve our ethos in terms of transfers.

That's a very one sided post which fails to recognize the current regime's similar failings. Fazza's era didn't have.....

- A head of recruitment arrested on suspicion of extortion
- A boat load of other criminal allegations attached to the owner
- The constant sales of our best or academy players each year, with said money usually reinvested in dross
- Very little communication from the club for long periods of time
- Reject players from the owners other club bogging down the wage bill, whilst pinching/trying to pinch our better ones such as Silva & Ribero.

And Vrentroz very much tried to interfere with team selections according to DT. One of the reasons for the AK fallout as he would play Appiah.

I'm not gonna even entertain to mirror stuff like petty stuff like paintings, eye tests. You could say Fazza didn't fee us BS like affording managers "The Precious Commodity Of Time" but that's all fluff talk anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I think off the pitch EM is better than Fawaz by a decent margin. But let's not lose perspective of the realties of the situation. There have been issues to be concerned about.

There's plenty to be positive about to, but it's understandable that some fans have some concerns.

Fawaz did sell our top academy players on numerous occasions, just another FYI.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Madforit - 25-08-2021

I'm not hiding behind this forum, everyone is entitled to his or her own personal opinion, and mine differs from yours, I don't think that EM is the "messiah" that some do on here, I'm not a sheep and have followed this club since 77 and have seen some great times and not so great.

I'm not so sure that our owner is as interested in Forest as he is his beloved Oly, if he was then surely he can see what we can all see, it's not working with Hughton at the helm and not will it get any better, also why is it that when  someone voices his or her opinion on our owner you automatically feel the need to embarrass or knock them down, it's not having a pop at you, it's called having an opinion.

I have attended three games so far this season and after witnessing yet another woeful performance by players wearing the Forest shirt I have had enough, I pay my way to follow my beloved team and will continue to do so, but when is our "messiah" going to react to the situation that we find ourselves in, we went from just failing to make the playoffs, to finishing in 17th position to now seeing us prop up the league.

Also why is the owner not backing his manager up with funds to be able to bring in the players that he wants, surely if this is the case then why not cut his losses and do the inevitable, before it's too late, I see this owner as I do the previous owners that we have had, they are nothing more than businessmen, since Maranakis took over we have slowly gone from bad to worse, and that is my own personal opinion, not an attack on you or anyone else on this forum, nor do I personally attack verbally, everyone is entitled to his or her own personal opinion and mine differs from yours or others on here, it's a pity that the owner doesn't have the same love for the club as we the supporters do, if he did then the past mistakes that he has made wouldn't have happened, as a businessman surely he cannot be happy with what is happening to the club and where we find ourselves, and react.

That is why I am not happy with him, it has nothing to do with him as a person it's not personal, but it is the way in which we are going as a club, we are becoming a laughing stock and I really don't think that he is totally interested in Forest as he is with his other club, he's not exactly backing Hughton if not then why isn't he.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - wassy04 - 25-08-2021

I don't think this entitles them to the freedom of the city by the way but profit/loss for the last three years is around 60-70m and that excludes spending on infrastructure (I think).

I don't believe this gives them free reign to do what they want but I do think it affords a certain leeway. Just look across at what's going on at Derby as one of many examples of where it can go wrong.

I think there are plenty of things to criticise (the treatment of staff and actions of our ex CEO as highlighted by DT are worrying and disappointing). However he is now our ex-CEO so hopefully this is a cultural lesson learned and that the latest appointment will be able to improve the atmosphere around the club and working conditions and in the long run hopefully help improve the actual team as well!

I also thing that seems to get lost on the average fan, that without PARACHUTE PAYMENTS we are always going to be swimming against the tide and fighting a losing battle. We can not and will not be fighting for autos ever, our best chance is similar to under Sabri where we outperform xG and other metrics (essentially get a little lucky at times) and scrape up via the playoffs. Brentford and Leeds have shown it is possible to get promoted without parachute payments but it should be noted that it took them a long time of being consistent in their methods. Personally, I'm not convinced our fans will ever accept the reality of the situation and so this will never happen but you can dream. Maybe they'll finally ditch parachute payments then it will be more of a level playing field.
