Richie Laryea - RetroRed - 27-04-2022

So, only his second start for us last night. Any thoughts on him yet?

RE: Richie Laryea - McDurban - 27-04-2022

He has done okay with the minutes he's had.
Put a perfect cross in, can't ask for more at the moment.
He was the next man up and performed to team expectations.
Looks like a good buy so far.
Having a Canadian international (a team that has qualified easily for the WC) on the bench is decent strength on the bench.

RE: Richie Laryea - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 27-04-2022

I think he'll prove to be a really good signing and if Spence is not with us next season then Laryea will come into the side and replace him with the minimum of fuss.

RE: Richie Laryea - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 02-05-2022

Definitely a touch of Djed Spence in this lad. He had another Spence like run when he came on again against Swansea also once again he went to the right and Spence moved over to the left.

RE: Richie Laryea - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 04-05-2022

Time to give him a start at Hull.

RE: Richie Laryea - Plymouth red - 04-05-2022

Agreed. Will need him to fill big boots if boro end up in playoffs against us.

Hull would be a good game to see what he is capable of.

RE: Richie Laryea - Squarered - 04-05-2022

It would make sense to give him 90 minutes at RB to sharpen him up just in case we are unlucky enough to have to face Boro. Maybe rest Colback if he's carrying an injury and move Spence to left back just for the Hull game.

RE: Richie Laryea - Jasper Scarrott - 06-05-2022

Looking forward to seeing him start tomorrow to show what he can do been impressed with the bits he's shown so far.

I was disappointed with him yesterday unfortunately.

Disappointed's a bit strong Sniff. Id say he was finding his feet and had a safe game.

Yes probably, I didn't mean anything bad by it. I suppose playing in a weakened team didn't really help him.

RE: Richie Laryea - Tricky - 08-05-2022

It was also his first taste of starting a Championship game Sniff. He wouldnt have expected the pace games are played at or lack of time on the ball.

He has previously come on at the end of the game when there are tired legs out there. Its a bit different when the legs are fresh!
