Very rarely we see a poor dull game when we play Tottenham home or away.
I don't expect this one to be any different either.

Having a look at stats, you can take these things with a pinch of salt I know, we have by far the worst xGA (ie goals against) stats in the league, 2.45 over 3 games.
You dont need stats to tell you either that Hendo has made more saves than any other keeper in the league and without him we may not have any points on the board yet.
Where am I going with this gloomy rubbish? Just saying that for whatever reason we are allowing opponents more scoring chances than any other team in the league. Boffin and others will Im sure analyse it and say it is to do with ball retention from midfield and not pressing high enough as a team.
All I know is that we cant give Tottenham so many scoring chances and expect to get away with it.

I'm sure the game by game stats will show a reduction.
Newcastle was chaotic.
Also probably the reason whey the first signing they went to make was for a world class goalkeeper.

How are we doing in xG? You'd assume not awful if we're giving up lots of chances too.
We always knew it would be a rough start, I'm delighted with how many points we've got and the team is starting to look more settled.
We've got a critical run if fixtures after Man City that we need to be settled for.

Yates Lingard O'Brien (or Mangala they are very similar)
Brennan MGW
Not saying this is the best team, just what I think we'll go for. Probably is also the best team although CM is a coin toss and arguably Taiwo or Dennis for Lingard would improve us right now!

If we allow teams space and time they will force mistakes and create chances. Its what happens at this level regardless of how good your defence is.

I think we might change to a 4-3-3 formation for this match. Keep the back line tight and fullbacks deeper than we have seen. Using the 3 attackers to break the line and add width. Just to gain control of the game and deal with the high press of spuds they like to use on a back three. Longer balls inbehind the defence to pin them back and create a wider gap between their own lines.
