I'd settle for a respectable scoreline and a positive performance. I think that's as much as can be hoped for here.

Games like these, in which one side has absolutely no hope of getting a result, is the bit I hate about the premier league.

Play the reserves

Didn't a manager do that once? Whoever it was had a 'winnable' game next up.

Could argue that we are fielding a strong team anyway:

Hennessy, biancone, mbe soh, toffolo, Williams, Lodi, freuler, Kouyate, Yates, surridge, dennis- Yates needs more minutes for me.

Both Newcastle and Palace have provided a blueprint as to how to play City.

Hopefully Cooper will go looking for a result, as we should, none of this play the reserves bollocks

Can still play an attacking team and make changes. Lodi, Freuler, maybe Taiwo or Dennis in for Toff, O'Brien and Lingard I reckon.

Anymore than 3 and you lose all cohesion.

See Chris Sutton has gone for 6-0 this time. If he was a stopped clock, he'd still manage to be wrong all the time

RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-08-2022

Interesting point to note for all our transfer dealing. Man City only have 21 players in their 1st team squad.

Pep has said Haaland won't start games every 3 days, so we might get a breather from him for some of the game.

They won the league last season without playing a striker.....
