Gustavo Scarpa - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-12-2022 Loving this guy already not just for what he's shown on the pitch in a couple of friendlies but also because of what he's shown and said in interviews off the pitch too. He's living his boyhood dream by coming to England and playing in the PL. I really really hope that it all works out brilliantly both for himself and for Nottingham Forest. Have a feeling this thread is gong to be busy in the months ahead... RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Dog and Bear - 18-12-2022 Gus plays the guitar, he can complete a rubik's cube in less than 5 minutes and has a big collection of psychology books that he reads regularly and takes everywhere with him. RE: Gustavo Scarpa - tugger2018 - 18-12-2022 Oh and he loves to skateboard RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Shawoddyred - 18-12-2022 Really hope he can live up to the expectations we all have for him. Could make a huge difference on and off the field. Hopefully we can keep that glint in his eye and he doesn't get dulled by Premier league 'professionalism' Going to be a fun ride though it seems. RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Username - 18-12-2022 The higher we climb, the harder we fall, or something to that effect RE: Gustavo Scarpa - JollyLolly - 18-12-2022 If we as supporters/fans and the local media keep the hype and pressure off him them I believe he as all the attributes to flourish at Forest, so its down to us guys to let him settle into the PL might just reap the rewards! RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Sausage Roll - 18-12-2022 His arrival could be incredibly timely if MGW is out for any period of time. Is there any suggestion MGW is going to be out ? Coops said it was precautionary RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Tricky - 18-12-2022 (18-12-2022, 12:25 PM)Sausage Roll Wrote: His arrival could be incredibly timely if MGW is out for any period of time. We will still have to play at least 2 more games before Scarpa can cover for MGW though. Would Scarpa be available against Chelsea though on Jan 1st? The window doesnt open until the 1st Jan, so he cannot sign before then. Isn't there then some kind of period before he can actually start playing or if he is pre-signed, as is the case, could he then come straight into the starting line up? I'm not clued up on the rules and regs of the game when it comes to stuff like this RE: Gustavo Scarpa - ozzyten10 - 18-12-2022 He is effectively a free agent so has signed but can’t be registered to play until January 1st RE: Gustavo Scarpa - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-12-2022 I think the rule is that no new player for any club can play in the round of games that commences on 31st Dec and that includes the games on 1st and 2nd. Looking forward to seeing Scarpa in the PL, not sure he will get as much time on the ball as he is used to but we really need someone who can take a decent set piece. I think he thrives on the hype etc. The more the better in my opinion. |
