That 3 of United who play just behind the main striker looks daunting.

Rashford - Fernandes - Garnacho

How do we cope with that I wonder.

The same way Clough would have done. Go in worrying about them and we get stuffed.
Play our own game and anything is possible, the crowd up there still quite edgy i suspect.

Yates will wind Fernandes up all game. Hopefully, Jesse has a point to prove and plays out of his skin and we can put in a performance like the Liverpool game.
They aren't the United of old.

I fancy a Pearce worldy on Tuesday to take all three points.

Anyone else remember what happened last time we went to Old Trafford on Boxing Day (or day after)?

Remember it very well Sniff but it was just before Christmas not just after.

0-4 in what was a total lesson in football for Man United by Forest.

Yes you're right Jasper it was 16th December just before Christmas in 1977.

As you said it finished 0-4 but it could easily have been 0-10 that day we absolutely murdered them and they were a very good side then too just like they are now.

Hope this is wrong, but hearing Hennessey is struggling to be fit for tomorrow.

RE: Manchester United - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 26-12-2022

If Hennessey is out I assume Kanuric plays as at least he has had competitive football with U21s. Baptism of fire for the lad if so.
I reckon Jordan Smith is seen more as the one who helps out in training.

I think Smith would get nod in a one off, has big game experience. Not too sound disrespectful but Hendo and Hennessey both internationals so would be a big difference.
