Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 02-01-2023 To be played on Wednesday 4th January 2023. At the St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton. Kick off is at 19:30. COYR! RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Shawoddyred - 02-01-2023 Despite there being a lot of matches left, this is absolutely huge! I seriously hope that we approach it with the same aggression and purpose as the second half against Chelsea! RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Username - 02-01-2023 We’ve really not stepped up against the poor teams this season, that must change on Wednesday RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - RyanR - 02-01-2023 Can’t wait for this one. The first match I’ve been able to get to this season so far. We really need to get 3 points here. Southampton have been shocking and are showing no real signs of improvement under Nathan Jones. Their squad doesn’t seem especially well-matched to the style of play that Jones wants to play. It’s crucial that we don’t give away cheap free kicks with Ward-Prowse on the pitch, as that’s probably their best way of scoring RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - zicorice - 02-01-2023 As always I'm nervous. A- There are no bad teams in this league. They are bottom yet have a few players who would previously have walked into our team. (Form is temporary and all that...) B- We need to double our season total for away goals to stand a chance of winning. That's psychologically deep rooted in anyone's book. C- Our best results/performances seem to be followed by bad ones. D- Extra days rest and 2 days effectively extra prep for them is a significant small margin at this level (A days travel for us tomorrow and they would have spent yesterday preparing for us.) E- The Nathan Jones factor can't stand him but I only seem to have memories of him being interviewed afterwards after beating us after exceptional sh1thousery and sh1t refs decisions-I know that's not the case, but memory tricks at this age. F-No matter where their confidence has been at lately, their players will fancy it. G-Another long trip- funny how tickets were easy to come by eh?- A point is still a decent result down there. On the flip side, a good start and this could be take off time in the game and in the league. At least we are creating chances now and someone (other than Blackburn reserves) is going to suffer soon-hopefully. It could have been Chelsea last night, but maybe it will be this game...let's hope so. Come on Forest... RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 02-01-2023 In the two extra days prep they've got over us Jones will be schooling his players in ways of the dark arts. If they go ahead expect every challenge after we make on their players to result in a career ending injury only for the player to miraculously recover after 4 minutes of treatment. You're not making me feel any better. RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Username - 02-01-2023 Any recommendations where to park please? RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 03-01-2023 I would take a point now if offered. RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-01-2023 Absolute shit or Bust game for Southampton. Pretty sure they will go for it early and as has been said there is no lack of talent in their team. But whether the storm, big IF we could score a goal, their crowd will turn and confidence will go. Away win please? RE: Southampton - Nottingham Forest - Squarered - 03-01-2023 Is it televised?
