3pm on a saturday, cannot wait to get up to Manchester for this one, I think we may get a surprise result.

RE: Manchester United - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-08-2023

We don’t have a Saturday 3pm home game until October 21st.

If Man U play as poorly as they have done so far this season and if we're somewhere near our best then it's possible.

That's not accounting for the inevitable help they'll get from the officials though. The non-awarding of a penalty to Wolves in their match was utterly scandalous.

Indeed it was. Pickford had a penalty awarded against him yesterday when he took the striker out after the ball had gone. Slightly different but same principle in that the keeper doesnt have licence to assualt the forward. Unless you play for Man Utd.

Great opportunity to get a result.

We need to get stuck into them as they are a mardy bunch

RE: Manchester United - Nottingham Forest - Mcforest - 21-08-2023

All about winning the central midfield this match. Need to be clever with the ball and runs between the lines.

Rashford verses Worrall worries me though. He ripped us a new one about 3 times last year…

Going to be tough. In Manchester City Centre for 10am so should be well oiled before even get to game.

Got a punchers chance. Suspect Yates and (if fit) Niakhate may start. Similar plan as Arsenal away I'd suggest. Going toe to toe with them at Old Trafford might not be a smart move. 4 games no goals last season, so I suppose they (and Fulham) are our new bogey sides.

Turner
Serge Joe Boly Niakhate Aina

Yates Mangala Danilo
MGW
Taiwo

Be tempted to start Kouyate instead of Mangala or Danilo.

1-0 up at 60 mins with statutory Taiwo strike then unleash Jonno, Elanga and Wood maybe. ?

I think we're going to see a lot of Wood at the 80' mark this season.

RE: Manchester United - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-08-2023

Apparently one of the reasons we signed Wood is that he isn’t a prima donna striker who demands to start every game. There’s a lot of that type around.
