Your Voice Matters Survey - Jimmygordon - 06-05-2025 Not sure anyone has seen this? The plans for the new stand? If you want a decent seat on the halfway line or near the dugout, expect to pay £5000 to £10000 per season. We have had seats behind the dugout in the family section since 1977. Now, some Johnny-come-lately glory seeker with cash is going to nick them. It will effect the Brian Clough stand too. New stands? Prepare to get fleesed and replaced. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - Simon - 06-05-2025 Just completed it - didn't see any mention of the prices you quote though ? Guess it is a dynamic thing based on your responses... Did you say you were happy to pay through the nose for corporate hospitality by any chance ? RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - Username - 06-05-2025 Is there a link? Complete opposite. they asked if we would be prepared to pay £10000, then £8000 and then £5000. Said no to all, but you can see what's happening. Give it 10 years and the City Ground will be the same as the rest. It's vital (and not for my seat :-) that we keep the soul of the place in the chase for corporate money. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - ozzyten10 - 06-05-2025 Yes - completed it but didn’t like the tone and direction. It’s currently have a brilliant seat in the PT stand and have done for 20 years. It is clear I won’t be able to afford this in the new developed stand. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - Trailer Park Tom - 06-05-2025 Desperate to take all that money from local businesses around the ground. I'll probably do another season or two and give up my ticket. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - ozzyten10 - 06-05-2025 Unless this is scoping for a new build elsewhere! RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - Salvatore Matrecano - 06-05-2025 Think some of you are either too suspicious or just not realistic about the simple fact that football is big business. Do they want more of our money? Of course. Its not 1970 anymore when you spend 20p for a pint of mild and have a piss on the terraces. Personally I hardly ever spend anything in the stadium principally because you have to queue for 20 minutes for over priced and low quality rubbish. I do spend in the local pubs though. They aren’t going to go out of business because there will be more punters overall but I might at least be tempted to go into the ground more than 15 minutes before kick off if there was a reason to. To click no to every option and say they aren’t getting a penny, EM may say sod this I’ll buy a German club where its possible to build a new stand in in under a lifetime and they aren’t all tight ungrateful gits. I did click no to all the premium seating options but this will remain a minority anyway. I do accept if you currently sit on the halfway line in the PT stand there is a good chance your current view will be taken by someone with a much larger wallet. But surely we have to move with the times and open up to more commercial opportunities which in the current stadium are non existent. We have been outdated for at least 30 years and its no longer acceptable. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - Trailer Park Tom - 06-05-2025 I hear what you say about local businesses and the practical nature of spending more time in the ground which we are behind with as a club. They have to look to enhance the overall experience to maximise profits in line with our competitors. For me, it's not a lack of awareness, it's a preference. The modern top flight game is not all it's cracked up to be. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - stirred - 06-05-2025 They’re asking the fans what they want from a new / renovated stadium. Some people will moan about everything! RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - JWJW - 07-05-2025 I want to buy your house for 1970 prices. Will you sell it for the 1970 price ? Or do you want 2025 house prices ? Pricing will always move with time. What was the multiple of salary to house price in 1970 ? What is it now ? Yes, nobody likes to pay more, but yes, everyone wants to sell for more. You come down to a stark choice - do you want to be NFFC in Division 1 with cheap seats ? or do you want to be NFFC in the PL with European football and expensive seats ? Its just the reality of life. RE: Your Voice Matters Survey - ozzyten10 - 07-05-2025 I want to support the team I love for a reasonable cost - £1000 a season is reasonable for top flight football in a good seat. More than that isn’t. |
