Sell Out Expected - woody - 15-10-2018

By Forest fans v Norwich not Theresa May!

Another good performance by fans. If the team can keep on producing result and improved performances then we are going to get plenty of these before the end of the season.

Thinking far to far ahead, can you remember the scramble for tickets when we used to go to Wembley regularly?

Its weird because whenever they talk about it being a sellout its never as much as I would expect it to be due to how we have to segregate the away fans, its a bit of a shame really.

Norwich are not to be under estimated. They beat Boro' too.

Traditionally a tough fixture, home or away.

I'd like to beat these. I used to have a bet with a colleague about who would finish higher in the league. Forest or Norwich. I took his 'fiver' one season. :D (And quite whilst I was ahead...)

SA.

So, we are going to sell out against Norwich whilst we are a decent Championship side yet some people think we won't need to increase capacity if we get promoted to the Premier League?

I think you should think again.

We will need to increase capacity, no doubt.

The big question is, how?

I think we all realise that capacity will have to be increased, it boils down to the usual debate. Some of us want to stay at the CG hoping the architects will find some way to add to it whilst others would like a completely new stadium.

No doubt time will give us the choice the owners have made.

They can stick a new flat pack stadium away from the banks of the Trent where the sun don't shine.

When we won the league all those years ago, I believe our average attendance was around 32,000. In the third season in League 1 we averaged just under 20,000. The best and the worst of our attendances. Id suggest that we need a stadium of around 35,000 should we make it back to the premiership. We would most likely average around 30,000 with capacity'against the likes of Man U, Man C, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Derby (If they are there)

RE: Sell Out Expected - Mcforest - 17-10-2018

I'm gutted i won't be there to see this game as could be a belter with both teams looking good although Norwick (spelt that on purpose before you ask) have had a dip in form. But work is taking me to to the Newcastle match this weekend which is going to be really painful to watch.

I would say our strengths of high pressing is their biggest weakness so i really do think we can take 3 points here. AK has got another full week of training with no games to prepare them for under his belt, they should have been further drilled in what he wants.

Times have changed Woody.

I am sure we would average more than 30,000 in the Prem, we are averaging about 27,000 now I think.

The population of the city is also much bigger now than what it was when we won the league.
