I've opted for him to stay..................for now.

For me, the last thing we need right now, on top of a threadbare squad peppered with illness and injuries is even more disruption. Am I being naïve in thinking once the window closes and players return from their injuries and illnesses etc, CH will somehow turn things around? Yes! maybe I am.

But what if the club do sack him now? The new manager will only be able to use what we currently have, unless there are one or two signings in the next 36 hours and won't be able to put his own stamp on the side for at least another 4 or 5 months, then we are at the 23-24 games played stage, with basically what we have got now. It would, IMO, be a massive risk to bring in someone the players don't know, will have to get to grips with the replacement managers way of playing, which could in effect leave us languishing at the bottom for months.

So for me, I say give CH until Christmas, to allow him time to get his players returning to match fitness (don't forget Worrall was not fit on saturday but still had that influence on the pitch for those around him) and if things dont improve by then, then let CH go. If the club cannot afford to bring in decent signings, then they sure as hell can't afford to pay off yet another manager and his backroom staff!

This is the bit that annoys me most about our constant shuffling of managers. We have wasted millions down the years paying ex managers to sit at home for 2 years or more after we have sacked them. Then the new guy wants his own players and sends some we have just bought to the bomb squad.

Im not a fan of Hughton at all just need to be convinced changing yet again is worth it, still on the fence.

When the argument that the no manager option is potentially much better than Chris, 45 games says 'Hughston we have a problem'

The instances of Chris actually managing the team during games are rare, the change he made at Derby was about the first time in 45 plus games he has managed to make a positive in game change that paid off

One constant, every single game, we have players breaking down on the pitch from knocks and exhaustion and still unused subs

Last season no experimentation when the pressure was off, what about a manager putting some thought to putting players in the team for shop window time even changing things up to give them a chance to shine?

Gary Brazil as caretaker until Xmas, many young players careers could of been triggered last season, positive meaningful introductions, there were 5 subs opportunity as well last season, he could of put a player on for 10 minutes and withdrawn him again if it was a disaster

Chris has no interest really in the academy, only when his hand has been forced, no interest in any in game changes unless really, really forced, no interest in shop windowing or changing a shape to help support a players game.  Is he really a manager or a hologram of a once great winning proactive mind?
