Lamouchi calling out for a new contract for Dawson and to get him involved in an off the pitch capacity too.

I would give him another 12 months and he'd be happy to have it. Win win.

I wouldn’t offer him one in a playing capacity.

He’s 36, played 15 matches this year during which we’ve kept a clean sheet three times. He was part of that terrible defensive performance against Sheffield Wednesday.

We concede, on average, two goals a game when he plays.

Off the pitch role only...the central defensive pairing is Worrall nd Figs, Daws will be one year older, so less likely to play an active role ...or reinstate The Algerian as back up or get someone else ...to rely on Daws as back is not wise ...on the other hand he is a Forest lad so keep him 'home's...similar role to Cohen maybe

Sabri himself said that he would like Dawson to sign another player contract. That is good enough for me. I trust the manager.

And who the hell is The Algerian?
Panic on the streets of London

I meant the Tunisian (Ben)

Dawson could be a good mentor for some younger crop players to play alongside in cup games next year.

I'd sooner have him than not have him. We just need to make sure he isn't viewed as anything other than backup.

You want us to pay over half a million quid to someone to play in four or five cup games but have gone ad nauseum about our transfer strategy!!!

A player/coach contract, he'll probably not be on a big coaching wage. Seems like an ideal backup CB to me and manager's always talk about the value of having experience in the dressing room. Just watch the dugout cams every week, he's always on his feet
