It's only a few weeks ago that we were brilliant against Newcastle and Manchester United.
Now we are in a run of poor form, missing players, playing players who are not match fit etc etc.
It happens and all teams blow hot and cold at some point.
I am not too concerned.

It’s well known we are suited to play on the counter. But I’m happy we’ve made it through, always seem to step it up against the better teams.

How do we think the five at the back went. i wouldn’t be surprised to see us go that way in a lot more games. Personally i am not a fan but we have got to start to get some clean sheets

It wasn’t too bad, some people on here think we played poor. But making 8 changes, half of which players were rusty. We had slightly more possession. 17 shots to their 15. We need to work on the final ball into the box though so many times to find a man which we didn’t.

I don’t think we will.
It was needs must as Nuno wanted to give minutes and rest certain players.
Fully expect it to be back to normal on Saturday with Neco, Omi, Murillo and Tavares making up the back 4.

Yep Dominguez and Yates will be back in the team
Awoniyi, Elanga, MGW(if fit), and maybe Reyna.

Tavares and Williams are both far more suited to playing as wing backs and a back 3, both looked good when they came on.
Hard to tell with the centra backs but seemed to do Ok.
Midfield was the problem with MGW playing so deep but we persisted with 3 forwards which meant midfield was overrun and huge gaps between the lines. Elanga played weirdly deep first half too. Put Yates next to Danilo and MGW behind a front 2 it could have worked better.

How many Premier League teams have regularly registered clean sheets this season.
I don’t think that approach is attainable with the players we’ve got to be honest.

Anyway, a 5th Round against Man Utd now that we will be up for. These are the cup games that make the Cup great, yes we are in the same league as them now but to beat them twice this season would be brilliant.

I wouldn't even say we played badly in our league matches - more self inflicted wounds against Brentford and arsenal. Its been nothing like those final few games under Cooper where we looked fragile and scared of the ball.
I guess it's not knowing what the potential punishment is for ffp which is causing the additional anxiety because without a points deduction I would shocked if we didn't ahead of the likes of Luton, Everton and Crystal Palace.

You may have a point here Plymouth. It must weigh on players minds, that they bust a gut to get the wins and points on the board (potentially), only for some faceless suits to come along and take those points away from them, for nothing they have done wrong!
Whilst the FFP/PS intentions are good, they way it is currently in place is a complete farce and as has already been said so many times, is geared up to protect the big clubs from losing out to the Nottingham Forest's of this world upstarting them (again)!
