Crap Referees
Not sure if anyone noticed, but the assistant ref in the second half near the dug outs had a great laugh with one of the Newcastle subs. Ended up backslapping each other as he went on.

The 4th official was telling our bench to calm down in a very patronising way.

Unacceptable in my opinion.

Has he reffed us at home since Liverpool in Nuno’s first season?

Nope that was his first time since then in the league the only other time in the last two years was the pennos lost to Wrexham in Jan. strange that he’s gone 2 years not reffing a league game for us home or away…

Tierney hasn’t reffed in the Prem for 2 yrs until recently.
Had only been doing VAR
don’t know if it’s down to health reasons

Tierney fucked us in the game against Liverpool when we should have had possession and Nunez went up the field and scored in the 8th minute of injury time. It was a farce. I think he was banned fromm reffing Forest until the Wrexham game where he disallowed the Douglas Luis goal which should have stood. He is a tosser. Good and proper. If not bent.

Chicago: Missing impartiality.

So he has not reffed since the Liverpool game and then put in charge of a forest game. Thanks Mr Webb

I said it many times, but I don’t think I can be bothered to say it many more. PGMOL is not fit for purpose and needs to be gutted. We have the best players, coaches from around the world. Get the best officials. The league is corrupt.

We were playing Man Utd rules today.

Surely the clubs are complaining in the background. I genuinely don't understand why the PL wouldn't want to do something about it.

Sadly I think any complaints fall on death ears because at the end of the day it’s the big 6 who tend to benefit from decisions. It will take a wrong decision that has a big impact against one of the big 6 for anything to change - something like a glaring error sending Spurs down on the last day.

Michael Salisbury not selected for any of the final day Premier League matches following that aberration of a decision against us.

This below makes our tweet from a couple of years ago look tame!

And it hasn't taken Anthony Taylor long to make his mark.....

Turkish club Besiktas on Sunday released an extraordinary statement, claiming the referee’s display in their 1-0 defeat to Alanyaspor “has taken its place in history as a document of shame for Turkish refereeing”. Besiktas went down to Nuno Lima’s 73rd minute goal in a shock away defeat, despite dominating the match — finishing with 15 shots to their opponents’ five and the vast majority of possession.

Afterwards, the Istanbul club criticised referee Adnan Deniz Kayatepe and the video assistant referee (VAR) Bulent Birincioglu, saying they do not want to see the “malicious” pair officiating their matches “ever again”.

Among the incidents which frustrated Besiktas was what they described as a “slap” on Leandro Trossard, a summer signing from Arsenal, which went unpunished by Kayatepe and Birincioglu, and a disallowed goal by South Korean forward Oh Hyeon-gyu. Alongside the statement, Besiktas released a video montage of four incidents which did not go their way, also including two challenges on forward Dusan Vlahovic. It was captioned: “Positions are different, seasons are different, names are different, decisions are always the same!”

The club’s statement, posted on social media site X, read: “The management displayed by the referees in our match against Corendon Alanyaspor has taken its place in history as a document of shame for Turkish refereeing. “Adnan Deniz Kayatepe, the prince of the Central Referee Committee president whose scandalous decisions in last year’s Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final still linger fresh in memories, has added yet another disgraceful performance to his record, as if to say, “Where did we leave off?”

“The opposing player slapped Trossard right in front of the world’s eyes. Referee Adnan Deniz Kayatepe failed to see the incident. Bülent Birincioğlu in the VAR room, meanwhile, remained silent. “Oh (Hyeon-gyu) broke free from his opponent in a tussle and scored a goal. Because the opposing player dramatically threw himself to the ground, Adnan Deniz Kayatepe disallowed our goal. “Vlahovic was grabbed by the collar and brought down while trying to enter the penalty area. Referee Kayatepe once again turned a blind eye to what happened.

“We do not want to see malicious referees like Adnan Deniz Kayatepe and Bülent Birincioğlu in our matches ever again. “We seek neither advantages nor privileges. We only demand fair and equal officiating. We will continue our rightful struggle with determination until this unjust system changes.”

Anthony Taylor, the former Premier League official, was named director of elite refereeing for the Turkish Football Federation earlier this month. His appointment came 10 months after a five-year investigation found that 371 of 571 match officials in Turkey had betting accounts.
