Another good move by the club.

Plus there was the annoucement about season tickets today too.

Think some people have been a bit hard on EM and Co recently but never mind. I'll forgive you  :)

Think they might have caught a whiff of supporter dissatisfaction.
Seems they might be listening.

Why did Johnny Owen step down as a director ?

To work for Talk Sport and make his new movie about Shankly, Stein and the other one.

Never really understood the J.Owen appointment what did he actually do, I know he did the Miracles film but apart from that I have no idea, plus he is a Cardiff fan at heart and probably only around this area because of his wife.

Ditto
Nice guy - but an odd appointment.
When did he resign - wasn’t aware he had.

Think he’s also got a job working for one of the broadsheets

I hope very much he stays as a director as he is a quality bloke and really understands football supporters. He cares alot about Forest. Merthyr tydfyl is is first love (after Vicky of course) but he helped add some professionalism to our media team. He is also a thoroughly nice guy.

I appreciate the owners coming in and investing their money. Don’t interpret this as me wanting them to go, but as it becomes increasingly likely we won’t get promoted this season, I wonder how much longer EM will give it.

Any business man / investor will draw the line at some point, even with the best of intentions. A google search told me he was worth about £500M when he took over, similar to Mel Morris. Mel has lost over £100M and is calling it a day. How many more seasons will EM lose £20M+ for, and what would come next?

Maybe after rumours of PSG’s owners seeking an English club last season, and the signing of Mbe Soh suggest that as a possibility. Premature maybe, but I’m looking beyond this season now.

I don’t think EM is the type to walk away.

He has enough ££ that is for sure, and I think he will be more determined than ever to not fail with this.

He had been looking to buy an English club for years, and with Prem 2 likely to be around the corner, he won’t stack his cards now IMO
