Like to stay at the CG but il be amazed if it all happens still. A lot of work a lot of planning and a lot of disruption whilst 1 stand being rebuilt and 2 being updated. Income lost during rebuilding process too. Still not sure it makes business sense.

If the whole things got to be re-submitted, surely to god this will be with alterations to both BC and Bridgford stand which would obviously happen at a later date. What a fiasco.

No, it's the original application that is being determined again. Any changes to the other two stands will need to be approved in a new application. It's all in the public record, on Rushcliffe's online planning page.

I understood that we change the architects from Benoy to Fosters who designed the new Wembley last year, but to date no new scheme or drawings have been produced and submitted for planning, all very odd. Just cant see this happening in the next 5 years or so as progress or lack of is painfully slow!!!!

The story about Fosters' involvement was just that, a story. It may be true but we haven't seen anything in the public domain that demonstrates they're involved. Benoy may have been dropped, but that shouldn't stop the application being determined. All the negotiating with the planners will be being done by the club's planning consultants, Savilles.

I'd love it if Fosters could be involved though. I thought Benoy's new stand design was really poor and uninspiring. The stand itself was as about as bog standard as they come and the low storey section that linked the new stand to the trent end looked like it had been designed by an intern, or it was a last minute bolt-on addition to the design.

If Fosters could design a redeveloped stadium in the whole, on the banks of the Trent, with views from across the river and the bridge available it could be something really special indeed. Something really great for our city to be proud of.

Dunno. Fosters could be on the case now for all we know. 5 years possibly from concept to completion? Do-able, probably.

In China I’m sure. They have built entire cities in the time it takes to erect a garden shed in this country.

All the delays with this stand have undoubtedly been created by the club, not the planners. Its not the planners fault the club went to war with Nottingham City, nor probably their fault the S106 wasn't negotiated in good time. Toton delays? All down to the club. This new stand could have been built and been in use for years now had the club got their fingers out and committed to it.

Have we changed our minds on the new Training Ground, that also seems to have gone rather quiet?

Heard we looked at a couple of sites - a golf club somewhere in South Notts and a site near Holme Pierrepont/Adbolton. Not sure they were keen on the asking price

Fosters would be a waste of money. In design terms it’s not that hard with the right team. The benoy design was a bit boring but the most important thing is cost. Fosters would go big on design and cost. It needs a functional design with a clever iconic usp (not a Wembley arch lol). I’m sure there a plenty of architects and aspiring architects that would sit around the table and share ideas for a free ticket!

Well they asked Welhams from nottingham to do something for them but I’d say a football stand might be too big of a project for them

As soon as there is redevelopment at the ground, the commercial boys will step in and make sure the best seats in the house along the centre of the stands are unaffordable, and the atmosphere will disappear.

I'm in no hurry for the redevelopment. They are not doing it for us anyway.

Having to queue for 5 minutes to piss into a blocked over flowing urinal is a small price to pay for the best atmosphere in the country.
