Our Iberians
dont think we will get many goals from the likes of ameobi and carvalho in the trio. we didnt score enough goals last season and looks the same again.

generally need to score 70+ goals to get into the playoffs.

carvalhos best performance was on a glorious day against boro when it didnt matter. good performances are few and far between.

No more excuses. It's now or never.

He's entering his 2nd season.  Heading into his 2nd winter in England.  If he's not careful, it will be two years and we'll be asking what he's done for the best part of £13 million.

Fair enough, he's coming back from a nasty injury.

But, he's got competition from Silva etc this time.

It's time to start showing in assists and goals.

'Get in there, that's what I pay you for.'  Brian Clough.

SA.

That old chestnut. He's been fit long enough now. He needs to start doing the bloody business asap.

Agreed, no more excuses.

Let's not go to town on the lad and destroy him. He's clearly talented, but out of form at the moment as he struggles to adjust to the new team and coach. He might come back well if he recovers some confidence.

Fair enough, you expect more from a £13m player, but the level of fee set is not down to him. He's a young man and may be struggling to come to terms with the expectation levels that surround him. And it'd be pointless selling him at present anyway, IMO we'd only get 4 or £5m for him.

Nobody is going to town on him or destroying him, let's keep it real.

From what I see folks just want to see a bit more from the lad and I think they have every reason to demand it.

Yep, hes got to expect to receive criticism but with the talent he clearly has, im prepared to cut him some slack.

I am still on the fence but agree that he needs to start doing more.

No Sow, no Bostock and no Semedo and Carvalho still can't get in the team.

Talking of our Iberians...how about Riberios performance yesterday. Especially after Cash became tied up trying to deal with an on song Lua Lua (Always plays well against us).

With Yates back as well now I can’t see carvalho playing CM many time in our current formation. Can only see him playing out wide. Alternatively maybe change formation late on if chasing a game. Otherwise he’s not going to play.

In his defence he’s not the only number 10 who’d struggle to fit into a 433.

Finally someone who can see what I see Wassy.
Paul Taylor on the athletic was adamant that it was a 4231. It clearly isn’t. He obviously doesn’t understand football. Yesterday the midfield 3 was Watson centre with Yates on his right and silva on his left. There was no one within 20 yards centrally behind Grabban. No one played number 10 yesterday because we didn’t line up in a formation that uses one.

Silva really starting to grow into the league now too.
